Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Based on nothing, because that's your personal opinion of the players.

This is a silly way to analyze things!

No based on what he has said, the level of the players and the kind of players he has had in the past.

Again I am not saying he doesn't want them I am saying their isn't much to go with the idea "good enough for Conte good enough for me" that implies some sort of endorsement from Conte that these are quality players that we have no proof of.

Again I don’t think he doesn’t want them. I think it is likely he said the kind of player he wanted and left it to Paratici and Levy to get it.

He said he is manager and has to leave other stuff to them.

There is a middle ground between him not wanting them and them being the guys he wanted. Tgat is where I imagine he is.
It’s times like this we all wish we could be Hercules…. To know exactly who said what and know for certain

I think if he was undecided he’d tell them though, he’s happy to cause a stir if he needs to

I do see your point however

My message for those whinging about these players is the same as it was for the "January is too hard" doofuses a week ago. From Conte's own words:

"To think we can fix everything in one transfer market is not reality, but there must be a place to start. Even if it is not the best opportunity, we must do something"

I imagine I am included in that whinging group.

It would have been nice if we fixed one thing in this transfer window and these two players add nothing that we need in terms of skill, position, quality etc.

Agreed, this is fruit of the same sloppy thinking tree.

Kulu and Betancur will be good or they won't, that's what matters.

Unlike Amrabat, both are across a minimum talent threshold to be potentially good players. Neither are proven enough to be anything resembling sure things. The story is yet to be written.

Bentancur is surely better than winks and hoj?

I prefer him to them yes, but I am not sure we needed more of that. He doesn't bring progression, passing, creativity, goals, ability when pressed or really anything we were looking for in midfield.

It isn't a terrible move but moderately improving we already have players in is not really that great. That is my problem with the signings.

But I guess at this point with Levy and Paratici slight upgrades are about the best we can hope for.

The Paratici doubters are quiet this evening. The Don has delivered with two top signings.

Bentacur is the perfect midfielder for us, he's quick and covers lots of ground.

Kuleveski reminds me of Robben, the tippy toe touches.
