Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

People who are worried about Juve fans really happy about seeing the back of these guys should remember they were very happy to see Romero leave to Atalanta, next season he won Serie A defender of the year. Not saying these guys will become world beaters but if Conte wanted these guys than let’s just wait and see what role he has in mind for them.
They are spoiled idiots, like Madrid, City, or Chelsea fans.

There’s legitimate concerns to be raised about Kulu and Bentancur, none of which come from whiny online Juve fans.

Ohh you’ve successfully debunked it have you? You’ve successfully debunked fuck all.

LOL..... That's the extent of your ability to debate is it?

Why are you trying to you use Woolwich as an excuse excuse to defend the bullshit that goes on at Spurs? You’re actually a joke.

Oh shhh and wind your neck in you big baby....

So you’re acknowledging that they’ve spent the same amount under one manager as we have under 3? What does that say about how they back their managers compared to us?

This is just jibberish!!!

Stop wasting everyone's time......

Don’t get the hate for Bentancur, looked good at the World Cup at 20 y/o and hardly a big transfer fee. Must admit have not seen the other guy play but Juve have Dybala, Morata, Chiesa and now Vlahovic in attack. I don’t think it’s too much of a sleight that he was on the bench most of the time.

Maybe we approached him earlier, you'd certainly hope we did.

Doesn't change the fact that we bid pretty late for him. That's not my opinion, that's just fact. And we know it's a Levy classic to try and keep the price down.

I hope for our top 4 ambitions that our two new signings show as much aggression on the pitch as you are showing on here...
How is it a fact? are you his agent? More guesswork?

We were in for them weeks ago - Tottenham boss Antonio Conte ready to spend £40m on Dejan Kulusevski

fair enough you missed that, but now you know don't move the goalposts from when we approached to when we bid, that's just churlish.

Let’s give them a chance chaps, underwhelming? Yes, but so was Dembele when we signed him from Fulham

Let’s see what unfolds
He was quality at Fulham and played further forward. He destroyed manure I think in one game. You could see his skill level, pace and strength already. Loved when we got him such an exciting player to watch. Think we paid around £12-15M. A steal!

I'd say no to Kulan playing RWB. But Lucas could
I think it's defo worth a shot. Lucas is a devoted to the cause kinda guy, and he always wants to start games, so why not. He's a fighter on the pitch and that'd compensate for his small build...knowing we ain't talking about him playing CB.

I actually wanna see how that'd work with him at RWB and Kulu in front of him. Think they'd link up well together. Lucas would offer an outlet to Kulu in attack, and Kulu is a guy who doesn't mind tracking back and doing the nitty-gritty.

I would be very surprised if both Gil and Bergwijn went, unless we had something else besides Kulu lined up.

There’s a million justifiable criticisms of Levy and ENIC, but they’ve always been very cautious about shipping out depth players without a replacement. Often to our detriment and we end up holding onto deadwood for too many years in the name of depth. Not that I think either Gil or Bergwijn are deadwood, but the point remains.

I must insist on more signings tomorrow. Don’t want my day off work for deadline day wasted. (Not including Bentancur)

😎

If we got a RWB, I’d have to say we gave it a pretty good crack for a January window and competing in the run in.

Are Kulu and Bentancur good enough to push us over the top? I don’t know, but there’s some decently positive signs and pedigree with them.

Sucks to lose out on Diaz and Traore, but they’re going to Liverpool and Barcelona not United or Woolwich. You’d have to say we’ve strengthened more than our competitors for fourth unless they pull something unexpected off late.
All of this basically.

Re the bold bit, they’re both young for their position so will have flaws, but Bentancur is two footed and seems to bring a good combination of strengths to the role. Kulusevski, if you find a compilation of goals and assists from his time at Parma, brings actually creativity. He can cross, play a through pass past a congested defence, carry the ball and hit a long shot. I hope he is up to it because his raw materials are something we currently lack.
gettin rid of gil and berg is madness especially if kuv is the only replacement
I really can’t imagine it being both. Surely only one of them.

That said, I’ve always felt that it’s either Bergwijn or Lo Celso leaving, and Bergwijn’s heroics v Leicester tilted the emphasis on shifting Mr Argentina out instead.
