I trust my friends, even when they are mad Lyon fans, but when they told me yesterday that they'd chatted with Vincent Duluc (big journo for L'Equipe and known OL fan) about their club bringing back either Tolisso or N'Dombele following Bruno's departure...I thought surely they're having me on!
Well, I do know they often speak with him and other OL-covering journos, but I genuinely thought OL would pick Tolisso over Dombz any day of the week, even with PSG unable to sign Dombz because they've not sold anyone.
But now it does seem big man Duluc and my pals weren't as mental as I thought. The deal is very close to being done. And we aren't getting Shaqiri back as some of the cheeky buggers had suggested

Bentancur has never blown me away. Ever. Few times I’ve seen him I’ve wondered exactly what he is, 6,8 or hybrid and never figured it out.
I find it really hard to get my head round the notion that Conte wanted Kulusevski at Inter - but then he did want Eriksen (and then struggled to figure out what to do with him) so…
It's impossible to say isn't it? Personally I totally ignore the one-off rumours, but pay more attention to the persistant ones from multiple sources over a sustained period of time. Take Traore for example - given all the talk for a month or so last summer, then pretty much all of this month, I'd find it very hard to believe we weren't interested. I can't prove that of course, but I guess I'm working on the basis not that there's no smoke without fire, but more "a lot of smoke over a sustained period would indicate that a fire is likely". Doesn't exactly trip off the tongue though I admit.
So my feelings on Traore are perhaps similar to yours on Diaz (who dippers have just announced btw
Just maybe Traore was always a stalking horse, like a lot of us maybe Conte would have taken him if that's all that was available, as Conte said himself hinted back in early January was that the best on offer?
