We would have also managed (hopefully) to get the heaviest deadwood out of the club if everything goes to plan.

The likes of Winks/Doherty/Emerson/Sanchez/Rodon are not on crazy wages and will have plenty of suitors if we aim to shift some of them out.

If the new boys settle in well this could be our first XI in the near future.

I'd say the only glaring weaknesses are Emerson and maybe the lack of a true playmaker in CM - but I will reserve judgement until I see more of Benty.
Davies has been solid under Conte but I'd still love Pau Torres (or similar) in there.

We then have the likes of Lucas, Sanchez, Bergy, PEH, Tanganga as squad players rather than starters.

I think we've done okay.

Looks like a good setup. I do agree with you on the defence too, I would like to see competition for the spaces next to Romero. Maybe one senior defender signed and 2 young ones? Tanganga can give squad depth and a rotation option but he’s not good enough for the first team and I do not think he will be.

Baku's XA90 = 0.15

Emerson's = 0.12

I like the look of Baku, but not loads in it. Baku plays more as an ARM/RM I think. Emerson's doing it in a harder league, but is also playing with better forwards, so...

That’s the point of the site though. Steer the conversation onto certain scenarios using fake ITK and A&C having meltdowns. Then control the narrative to keep people logging on and interested in the fake scenario you created. Use other sites to apparently support your fake news while aggregating content from others.

You can’t say what you like over there because people are conditioned to follow the narrative and obey. It’s a bit like North Korea, but with Chick-King🤣

Yeah realistically Rodon and Tanganga are not good enough. Sanchez has proven he can be a squad option but he's probably the one we can get most cash for so I imagine he goes.

Two new centre backs in the summer wouldn't be surprising.

It's genuinely haunting to see the damaging after effects of what this transfer window has done to the members of our fan base. It's broken us so badly that some of us are ALMOST becoming reasonable and decent upstanding members of society. I'm scared.

Bentacur (CM) - permanent

Out :
Ndombele (CM/AM - Lyon on loan (not clear if they have an option)
Gil (AM/Winger) - Valencia on loan (no option)
Clark - Sunderland on loan

Possible moves tomorrow - Lo Celso, Dele, Rodon, Doherty ? Anyone else leaving would need to be replaced.

If both Lo Celso and Dele leave, we might decide to get another CM in (but we have Bentacur, Skipp, Hojbjerg and Winks ...... so its maybe not essential ?)

If Doherty leaves (but no rumours I've seen for weeks), we get another RWB which would be good

Rodon's a funny one, he's hardly played so not sure we need to replace him

Personally, I don't expect any signings, unless something unexpected happens. Hope I am proven wrong. Dele and Ndombele OUT is a must.

Then it will be 7/10 window, I think. Another useful signing and it gets to 8, because it's January and I don't expect much.

I still think the club could surprise us. Dembele could be interesting as incoming transfers go. Bissouma or Lamptey from Brighton, assuming Biss isn’t going to play for Prison FC. I would factor in a wildcard option or two. A lot of clubs are struggling financially and we can use that to our advantage.

Not getting a striker once again is just the most incredible situation for this club.

Quite how we can be so inept in that regard I truthfully cannot fathom.
 
Listened to the Transfer Window pod this afternoon whilst walking the dog. According to Castles, Liverpool were into Diaz long before we were, had been negotiating but refused to get anywhere near Porto's original asking price 60m, and said they'd come back in the summer for him. Us steaming in forced them to come back in, match our 45+15 offer, forced it into a player choice and the outcome was obvious.

Apparently they were forced into making their 15m add ons a lot more easier to realise, and pay an 8m up front to get themselves ahead of the deal. Ultimately it didn't matter what we did, Liverpool would match and we would be the players second choice.

There's some talk about Levy and Paratici being really fucked off with Mendes in all this.

I did post a guide on how I did it on here or another forum, can’t remember. That post got taken down so I guess there is some solidarity between mods 😂

I had a good laugh when someone mentioned GDPR on a later SC thread and Rob had a panicky meltdown because he thought I was back. If he has nothing to hide, he would not need to worry, and that told me a lot about him.

Truth is I prefer it on TFC and lurk quietly on many forums, and don’t really have a grudge against anyone. I do still object to people being misled and ripped off, but having dealt with Rob personally I have no desire to do so again. If folks choose to send him money and believe what he writes, that’s up to them.

I had about 10 years on SC, don't remember your username at all tbh.

I personally don't have an issue with SC, despite being banned. The biggest litany on there is "take everything with a pinch of salt." The fact that many on there, and here, take a snippet of "news" as gospel is their issue, not the site's. People choose freely to pay towards server costs, I was one of them and it had nothing to do with the itk.

If you don't like the way the site is run, and don't believe a word the itk say, then don't go on it, it's not that hard.

Further to that, don't post their itk on here if you think it's bullshit, all you're doing is perpetuating it.
