Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So, if it stays like this and there's no more transfers today -

We have 2 new signings
Woolwich have 0 new signings (and could lose Aubergine)
Man Utd have 0 new signings ( and lost Van De Beek and Greenwood)
West Ham have 0 new signings.

decent

Carrasco is actually right-footed and he's played wing-back in some games.
He is said to have a 60+ mil release clause, so unless we're able to do a deal with Atletico for max a third of that (he's 29 after all), I very much doubt we'd get him. Unless somehow Atletico is able to sign Matty Cash in the coming hours and they need to recoup some of their investment by selling Carrasco.

Here's a better idea. We Spurs go after Matty Cash. Younger, homegrown, knows the PL...

No we don't. I'm talking about squad cover even with their manifest flaws they help get a point in a crisis against Liverpool. That's what a contingency is. If you think this is driven by Conte think your wrong. He wants these players REPLACED that's not what appears to be happening
Only 2 of the 4 players leaving were used against Liverpool. We are bringing in at least 2 players who have far better injury records than Lo Celso. I'd like one more but its nowhere near a catastrophe.

We have 21 plus under 21 Sess and Skippy. How many do you want.
We have shifted 3 players who we hardly ever use or they are usually injured. Plus Tanguy and Dele well capable of behaving like prats behind the scenes.
We can play the 2 from Juve who Conte trusts.
Nuno gave Dele a chance with 6 straight starts and he achieved very little. No one was going to come in with 30 m. There are significant add ons in the transfer. It’s up to Dele. I hope he does well and could do us some favours when they play our rivals. As long as he doesn’t score against us.

How many do I want? If Son and Kane get injured(like they have every season recently) then what do we do? It's going to be very tight for that final CL position and we look really short in terms of goals if one or two attackers are out for four or five games.

No, because these 3 attacking midfielders suck. Amazing how we are in solid shape for 4th with these seriously poor players that you listed. Did you see Woolwich's bench last game? Every single one of those players would have made it.

That's not saying we don't need some improvements, just that the comments you made are quite the exaggeration.
They would not make Cheslki nor Yanited team or bench. If we have to compare ourselves to Woolwich, not good. My comment is out there, yes, but not exaggerated. With those players gone, who comes off the bench to change a game?.

Like I say, January transfer window is a joke window in general, always hard to make headway, but dont get rid of natural talent.

Man Utd lost Martial too and will probably lose Lingard.

If someone says that we had stinker in the transfer market, just look at those clubs. They have no ambition, it seems.

"Tottenham have signed Juventus players Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, while record signing Tanguy Ndombele has departed to join Lyon on loan.

Uruguay midfielder Bentancur, 24, joins for an initial fee of £15.9m which could rise by £5m.
Sweden winger Kulusevski, 21, joins on an 18-month loan for an £8.3m fee with an option to buy for £29.2m."

People wanted players out that were dragging down the squad said players are removed from squad now its we should keep them our squad is too thin 😅fucking hell

People wanted high quality REPLACEMENTS man.

Nobody is sitting there thinking, "I wish our squad was 3 midfielders lighter."

Lo Celso and Ndombele were first bought because we needed them. Them being utterly useless doesn't change fact that spurs still need bodies.
