I say if you really want to focus on bringing up youth through the system and finding rough diamonds and its clear you don't want to invest and buy big players like the big clubs, go invest 30-50m into redeveloping the scout system, etc over a 5 year period. Make bloody well sure you become at least top 3 in the world after 5 years. How do you do this ? Just go and copy the blueprint of clubs like Ajax, Dortmund, Sevilla, Southampton, BUT make it better.

It's a revamp I've been dying to see for years now.... (It'd be great to see exactly how it's structured and manned, but sadly we'll likely never see such detail.)

We also need to do a thorough investigation as to why the academy and the route out of the U23s is no longer working as it was under McDermot & Sherwood. Also see our loan-strategy failing the likes of of KWP, Onomah and a bunch of the lads that left in their late teens.

Ding Dong the Hitchen's gone

What a load of absolute fucking bollocks that article is. The Head of Marketing and the Head of Retail have left...so what? In any large organization there are always people leaving managerial roles.

A lad in the media team...what's next he's going to tell us one of the dinner ladies has decided to retire?

I don't know how a national newspaper like the Telegraph allows it's football correspondent to write that drivel without an editor saying hang on, this is total rubbish.
Matt Law is really well connected, breaks a lot of news ahead of a lot of other journalists too.

However, I don't know why but he has a massive downer on Spurs. Almost every single article or piece of news he breaks has a negative spin to it, even like this news of Hitchen which is greeted by Spurs fans a positive.

I could go through his entire Twitter feed I'd I'll bet if you are looking for a positive one you'll be having to go back many, many years to dig one out. He mugged off the Dele deal as us having our pants pulled down because Dele's £10m fee doesn't kick in until 20 games and there are only 18 games left this season without thinking that it doesn't fucking matter because those 2 other games can be notched up the following season.

He did a massive piece on the stadium saying that Boxing would ruin the pitch!

My theory is that at The Telegraph he's the dedicated Chelsea reporter, I think he's playing to his gallery. Since being the dedicated Chelsea reporter he's now got a very large following of Chelsea supporters, so anything he writes about Spurs generates huge engagement from this section of followers who lap it up.

Apparently the Chelsea fans hate him too.

Supposedly he's a Villa fan, so he probably is just bitter and likes getting digs in at the London clubs.

Yeah he also bought Son, Toby, Trippier, and Dele who combined cost £15m less than Ndombele.
He absolutely 100% did not bring in Dele! That was Pleat. (I thought as most of you all should know by now that Tripps was shit, not the player for that squad who were a possession team, think that deal came about via McKenzie, analytics guy reporting to Mitchell, who was ex-Burnley). He also brought in Wanyama, though obviously, Poch knew all about him at Southampton.

Son is his one true shining moment......

Even his time at S'oton wasn't exactly spectacular:

Nathaniel Clyne, Maya Yoshida, Paulo Gazzaniga and Steven Davis.

Correct about the chavs being his audience. A lot of the mainstream media report on teams like Spurs, Everton etc to rival fans as it is simply a larger demographic. Especially as for some reason every club has us as their bitter rival.

Hard one to comment on Southampton because he did join them when they were Championship, there were many players in that Southampton team that were highly rated though I think that was because of Poch (no one was rating the likes of Lovern & Schniderlen when Adkins was the manager).

I do like the Son deal and everything around how we signed him to, literally zero leaks until the day of the transfer. (Mate of mine that works at The Club was part of the crew that were looking after him at his hiding place at The West Lodge Park Hotel near Cockfosters. He gave me a call from the car as they were heading to the training ground so leaked it on here just before news broke on the tele box......proper ITK)
