What the heck are you talking about?
Ndombele requested a transfer the same damn preseason he was signed in, before he even played a game for us!
Remember when the rumours were swirling that Barca wanted him even though we'd only just signed him?

Honestly mate. Your anger and bitterness towards other Spurs fans who are critical of the owners FAR outweighs any anger shown by them.
You seem to lack any kind of self awareness whatsoever.
Some friendly advice. I get we all need to let off some steam once in a while. Just try and chill a little and enjoy the contribution made by ALL the voices on here. Not just the ones you like to hear.
That's older than the reports that we kept our 50% sell on with the move rather than cash out now, hope the newer reports are true (in his general football thread)
Yep. Things seemed to be going well for him before that. Opened his account with a beauty of a hit. Having had bosses that really held down workplaces quit on me before and seeing the place go to shit afterwards, I can totally understand Ndombele feeling betrayed and let down. The problem though is you can only sulk for so long before you need to sack up and carry on with life.
Firing Poch instead of properly backing him was a huge mistake. I myself called for Poch to be fired at the time, which I now regret. Hopefully Levy has learned a great deal from a couple seasons in the desert and won't so easily let great opportunities and key moments slip from his fingers again.
There wasnt a 'trust' issue. He didnt fit the system. Mourinho 'trusted' him most times. It's all a bit immaterial seeing as he wasn't trusted to be on the pitch.....
Actuality > projections.
Don't get me wrong- I'm not trying to excuse any bad behavior on Ndombele's part. I can definitely understand him being very disappointed in how it all went down coaching wise. One day you think you're being coached by Poch, and then effing Mourinho shows up.After 2 games, Poch was continually pulling Ndombele off after 45 mins or 60 mins as he was just unfit - even after arriving for the start of the pre-season under Poch (which are notorious boot camps).
So even before Poch left it was clear there were big problems with Ndombele's willingness/ability to play 90 mins which Poch inventively said 'it might be 2 years before we see the best of him'.
Mourhino played Ndombele but his ability to finish 90 mins did not improve. Just 9 PL matches where Ndombele finished 90 minutes despite numerous starts is all on Ndombele. Nobody else

Mourinho was the best thing that happened to ndombele though. Someone who pushed him and didnt give up.Don't get me wrong- I'm not trying to excuse any bad behavior on Ndombele's part. But the point is Ndombele was failing badly under Poch, so its great to rewrite history to put it down to changes in coaches - but not borne out by facts
Look I don't want to get into a larger argument about logic, but conflating your qualitative assessment of Ndomebele's performance under Poch with quantitative "facts" is nonsense. I respect your view but wish for us to be more precise with our language, especially when potentially using it as a tool to try and dunk on other people with.
Ok well I do agree with some of what you are saying, but consider this: I can just as easily argue that Ndombele did not have the benefit of a full preseason in stepping up to a much faster and more physical league. That he wasn't judged able to complete 90 minutes during the first quarter of the season in which Poch was coach does not necessarily mean that he was "failing badly". There are tons of top players which take a half a season or more to adapt to the pace and physicality of the prem. The facts are about the number of minutes played in games under Poch and indeed number of matches he started but completed 90 mins in - over two and a half seasons. I'm not trying to dunk on people merely trying to put some facts into the debate

It's been slowly building for a while, but definitely the evidence is mounting that Americans are the best hope for THFC.
Why do you refer Champions League as ECL? ECL stands for Europa Conference League. please don't remind me of that awful competition. The rumour was that Poch resigned after the ECL final. He was burnt out and needed a break from football. Levy convinced him to stay; and backed him with 160 million signing players that Poch wanted. It is also important that one of the conditions of Poch staying was that Eriksen would also stay.
Of course, once the season started it was clear that Poch's head wasn't in it and he was unable to motivate the burnt out squad dealing with the disappointment of losing the ECL. Eriksen reiterated his desire to leave and that was the icing on the cake.
Mourinho had been in contact with the club over the summer and was waiting to pounce. To chance to get Jose was too tempting for Levy to turn down and the rest is history.
And the end of the day I suspect the falling out between Levy and Poch was down to one thing - Eriksen. Poch blamed Levy for not opening the checkbook and tying him to a new deal. Equally, Levy was pissed that Poch refused to move on and couldn't get a tune out of Ndombele/Lo Celso.

And this year as well the fatty produced at a better rate than all our cms. And even this year, its not about trust, its about the level of fitness required for contes system thats been the problem.Jose's been gone a year.... This talk (and those stats) is of this season.
Im going to provide some counter evidence.Like I mentioned in a previous post, I've a fair few mates who are die-hard OL fans. When I spoke with them ahead of signing Dombs, they all said "He's been great for us and still got lots of upside, but my oh my the dude is an immature dick and just not a nice bloke."
He would always be the first one out at training and would regularly refuse to spend time chatting with fans, taking pics and signing autographs. Even for kids. Would barely acknowledge fans singing his name with a thumbs up. And on the occasions some gave him stick for a poor game, he'd openly launch insults at them.
Even now he's back, some aren't thrilled. They're just happy Lyon got a body in after they lost Bruno to Newcastle. But they'd have preferred somebody else.
Without launching an Ndombele Defence League, none of those managers was likely to get the best out of him. Poch would have but his time was going south and he had just arrived in the country.Want something different, but rejoin his old club...
:contefacepalm2:
5 different coaches at Spurs all found issue with his work ethic. This guy has no self awareness?
