On the subject of STs.....the benefits of having one have basically gone. Away games have been a closed shop for 15-20 years. Cup finals.. ...just LOL. And you can no longer sell the games you no longer wish to attend.

Be interesting to see how this turns out, most the chants last night had the word YIDS in it.
Atmosphere will be worse, attendance will go down more as well.

For better or for worse, a large part of our identity is being taken away. I suspect (possibly wrongly) that most of our own fanbase that are against the use of the term have never been hissed at or had to listen to spurs are on their way to auswitchz, sung with real venom and hate right in your face.

This will kill any remaining vocal support we have, save the 2 times oh when the spurs gets sang by the johnny come latelys.

Yep, id have been better off just picking games i want to go to this year, not been able to get to 4 and was only able to sell one of those.

Might change next year with foreigners, especially the south Koreans, more able to get to the ground

The underlying proces is scary.

A couple of media "personalities" have gotten a billion £ business to do an internal "survey", who concluding that endearing affirmation with a marginalised group is indeed "racism" and as such cancelling the link.

The police agrees, the same police which have for decades failed to handle the actual racism in play, game by game.

Are there any grown ups present here at all?

Its weird how this concerted effort appears every few years. I saw someone on here (I think) say they knew this was coming in the near future. Podcasts such as the extra inch have been doing regular bits on it recently, almost as if the fanbase was being softened up. Coincidence?

Yep. They spend more in the club shop, on food and drink and 'Premium' experiences.

The buzz for me on a match day is when I reach the club shop buy my half and half scarf for that game and then go in the ground and drink my One of Our Own pint.

That’s what football is all about.

That and wearing my Harry Kane NFL top on a match day.

Nothing says true SuperSpur supporter more does it!!

Agree 100%. I really didn’t want to scrap mine but I had to in the end, but it’s worked out so much better for me. I can get tickets for any home game I want still and sit wherever I fancy. And I’m not stuck with the ticket unable to get rid when I can’t attend for whatever reason. Money saved on the ticket itself covers the cost of fuel for the games I do attend. Luckily know a couple of people on decent points that have the odd spare ticket for away games too, as I would never have been able to build up the points needed to get any decent (London derby) away tickets myself anyway.

I only really want to go to safe standing area. And best way to do that is ticket exchange. Or cup games.

Being a member makes a lot more sense for me.

So that was the game, then.

I fully expect the actual anti-semitism to continue in full flow, while only getting cursory-to-no media attention.

And certainly none whatsoever by public "personalities" like Baddiel.

Next step will be franchising clubs like a mobile NFL circus. Because attachment to locals and cities is "tribal" and "divisive".
It will carry on in full flow but they won't be able to hide behind "they call themselves a yid"... That's the only positive in this.

I love the clap clap YID ARMY clap clap YID ARMY clap clap YID ARMY, What are they going to do to stop a full stadium saying yid army? Pause the game and go down the tunnel?

If we stand to genuinely offend Jewish people then that matters..... Like many things, it's bigger than football.

What disgusts me (whenever the subject arises) is the fact that it takes precedent over (and focus from) the outright anti-semetism that is aimed at us (and by proxy the entire Jewish community) out of spite.

The club are in an awkward place and understandably want to do the right thing; it's just sickening that that same degree of willingness is not being demanded of those that engage in, or are turning a blind eye to, the genuine hate-speech that has and continues to drive our club's use of the Y-word.

Badiel is a thoroughly abhorrent shit of a man considering his transparently football-tribalism driven agenda. Abusing his heritage to score 'terrace points'..... What an absolute disgrace.

Tourists are much, much better for business. Per capita.

Not however as good as overseas fans, who don't take up seats and don't cost matchday stewarding and facility managment services. They just post money into the TV pot and buy merchandise and services.

The clubs heritage and identity - let alone with Jews - does nothing good for business. As opposed to brand shares, show games abroad and even globalised competitive fixtures.

ENIC couldn't fucking wait to make this announcement public.
