Match Tottenham Hotspur v Wolverhampton Wanderers 2pm Sunday 13th of Feb

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There are hundreds of players that would improve us. We simply need an effective, well managed scouting department.

We do not have that.
Ok, let's take Kane as an example. I can't see him being here next season, contract is running down, no CL football, maybe no European football at all here, a lot of fans now think he is on the way down in terms of performances and goals. Let's say we sell him for 100 mil to City or United. Who would you buy to replace him and also a back up too?

Flamboyance and flair we haven’t seen that under Jose Nuno or conte. These managers don’t play that type of football. In the case of Jose and conte fans prbly accrepted it bcos they win trophies even though they had cerbexoensive squads assembled. Yet they choose ti play a counter attack style.
We don't need flamboyance, we just need our players to reliably complete passes under pressure, and not randomly decide to hand a free goal to the opposition for no reason at all.

I could live with an entire back line of Oliver Skipps. Won't be on a youtube comp, but he makes the tackles he should, completes passes he should, tracks runners, and most importantly he does it for 90 mins with very few mistakes.

Now that's a bland player. Give me more of those.

Ok so I did not rush to this judgment. I have watched us live a dozen times this season under two coaches. I've not been for a bit because work. I've enjoyed very little of it. The opening day win over City, the win over Leicester being standout and almost entirely about the results.

Now I'm prepared to give Conte time and respect for what he achieved before, as I did with Jose; like Jose (and I said this when we were top to dogs abuse) it's not what I want or belive the football of a title winning team looks like, regards possession, breaking down oponents, or chance creation. With Mourinho I knew what I was watching would not change, with Conte I have a slim hope that (reactive though his teams are) we will look better when Winks, Hojbjerg , Emerson, Davis, Tanganga, are gone.

What deeply concerns me unless we are about to get an infusion of funds into the club ENIC level investment in the team won't fix what's wrong. We have been left to atrophy so completely that replacing the players I've named only gets you par. I don't care who the coach is this team has a 7th place celling.

To improve the team (TRIGGER WARNING) Kane Son Loris Lucas Reguilon need replacing with players who are younger and in all but one case are now there better. That's 250 million pounds worth of investment minimum in a team in the Europa League. Its not happening.

Even if Levy produces the naming rights and an investor provides this capital, who trusts Paratici to find Conte players better than the first let alone the second group. Just as concerning who trusts Conte to get the kind of footballers who actually make me a Spurs fan.....Levy built a stadium and its surroundings he let the football team die completely in the mean time. He can not nor seems minded to fix it. This is a very hard time to love this club
I'd even go as far as to say, 'Levy purposefully devalues the club as it costs less to run a mid-table team than a top flight team'. It's safe to say, having a top flight team is a liability and not an assest.

He primarily pumped all funds into buildings and assest. This improves the value of the club. His investment has therefore seen major growth. Something he bought for a few million is now worth a few billion. He legally defrauded us The Fans.

Have yet to see the full game but can’t imagine that my feelings will greatly change. Did find it odd that we pulled Sess after 20min, was he playing that poorly?

The back three still look absolutely rattled. The confidence Sanchez had, and quite frankly needs is well and truly gone, he got very lucky that his ooor pass didn’t lead to another goal. Those two goals we conceded were more of the same from the Soton game, absolutely shocking defending where we didn’t bother closing down midfielders at the edge of our box. You can’t just not chase down Neves and allow him all the space to take shots from.

I’d say onwards and upwards but can’t say I’m feeling positive about City on the weekend.

I think southampton game mentally drained players. And a mixture of conte rigorous training methods. We had a day extra rest ahead of wolves and they didnt break sweat. Fucking embarassing. 75-80 per cent of team arent fit to wear shirt. Need energy in that dressing room.
Exactly what sort of cancel me culture soft as tissue paper excuse is that? If we played Thursday and wolves play Wednesday you’d prbly say they had extra day rest!
Absolute joke.

Couldn’t make the game today. Came down with a horrible virus and high fever and I’m stuck at home with the WAKs. It’s awful. But. Looks like I’m a hell of a lot luckier than the poor 50k who trudged through the rain for £75 worth of utter garbage from privileged plastic pros on £100k per frigging week. What an utter disgrace our First Team is. Conte will leave us in the summer and we’ll be getting 30k next season watching mid table tosh under the next Tim Sherwood. Fuck ENIC. Fuck Levy. RIP football.
Great post.

First time ever I posted on here whilst I was in the stadium during the game. That's how bad it was, but nice to hear some echoes of rebellion against Levy from the south stand.

Shout out to all the fans who came today.

I was soaked to my skin even before watching the game.

Soaked to my skin walking back, but the highlight was the chip butty I had!

In between those walks, the rendition of McNamaras band as always lifts spirits, but I better not talk about the actual football. I could be here a while if I did.

I'm glad there isn't a game for a while at home now.

Think he was a casualty of circumstance. I don’t think he played at all to be honest but we went to a back 4 and he was the odd man out. IMO they should have pulled Davies off but Conte seems to love him so that was never going to happen. Sess was the easy target

So I'll ask again.

If no manager can do anything with this squad, why do we waste money employing them? Why not just pick a name from a hat each week?

Also nothing Conte coulddo? Good thing he didn't see Southampton dominate us midweek with an extra man in midfield and then think "Yep, same again on Sunday"
It’s almost as if he wants us look bad and lose. I can’t fathom some of the decisions especially sticking with this formation and the players. Surely he can see we don’t have the players to play his defensive system? I am getting really frustrated with his negative vibe and tactics. He can’t even inspire the players to come out at home in front of the fans and put on a show and really go for it. We start off so slow that it’s no wonder the oppo can sniff fear and take the initiative. I keep saying if his such a super coach prove it with some tactical master class . Jose never did and conte won’t unless he has spent £200M!
He should just try to build for next season and play some youngsters, try different formations and tactics and generally be more positive. At least we would see him trying to do something. But no he just plods along with the same tactics and formation keeps playing the sabe shirt all the while drumming out any flair or skill.

Absolutely Spot on!

The whole vibe felt subdued in the walk down from seven sisters and just as bad in the ground - I feel a mixture of the Southampton game and the y word furore and indeed the first yid army chant from the park lane was half hearted and whereas normally a fair few in the Paxton would join in today tgere was barely a whimper and a fair few awkward glances so I feel the days of the yid army are numbered. Then the actual football was shocking - true but for a couple of lloris brain farts we probably come out with a draw but particularly in the first half we were a shambles - tough to say but sessegnon looks a million miles away from being prem standard as does Doherty with Davies and Sanchez again both awful. Kane and son both appeared weary and hesitant a pretty poor day all round. Though really liking the look of bentancur feel he is going to be quality.

Given the current atmosphere at games and then the shite the team are serving up really can’t see me paying the exorbitant prices to renew my st guven so many games are live on tv might go back to being an armchair fan - at least I won’t be getting drenched and fleeced to watch that garbage!!

Sounds like the phone signal in the stadium isn't too shabby!

2 wins from our last 8 games, being FA Cup games against Morecambe & Brighton is pretty hard to stomach.

Feels to me like those dreadful performances and defeats against Chelsea knocked the stuffing out of us. What really annoys me is how often I have seen this happen. We aren't capable mentally of recovering from defeats in important, pivotal games.

Expecting us to limp for the remainder of this season into anywhere between 6th and 12th.
