It is indeed a tricky situation for Kane.

I could see a scenario where Gary and the rest of the United lot manage to entice him to make the currently sideways jump to United. Other than that I don't really see where he could realistically end up.

But right now United is a sideways jump. If Kane sticks around and Conte keeps working his magic we are just as likely if not more to win some silverware as they are. We are further along in our rebuilding process.

Moving to United would seem like a sideways move for Kane, and I don't think it'll happen.

They're just as finished as us

Worse if you ask me. They've been looking for a new manager for months and are no clearer than they were the day they sacked Solskjaer. So far they are heading for a worst search than our summer one. Seems a complete clusterfuck from the outside looking in.

We seem to say it every summer but I think this is one of our most important ever in terms of the direction we head.

I think most of the squad will be excited about the prospect of a full season under Conte but only if he is properly backed in the summer.

Kane will recognise the improvements we are making already and if we can upgrade the likes of Davies/Doherty/PEH with higher level first XI players we can definitely compete at the top end.

The fact remains that we have no special right to overtake Liverpool, City, Chelsea given their squads and investment in recent years. Even if we give Conte his 4 top targets for example, winning the PL is still highly unlikely. Maybe we can get a domestic cup or Europa League (if we don't make top 4).

I think the players must realise this but as long as they FEEL like we are competitive it may be enough to keep everyone motivated.

I would personally prefer if we bring an experienced striker rather than a young one who wants to play a lot. With Kane only Llorente worked. Vinicius and Janssen failed. Depay would be something in the middle, could work.

Wouldn't be against it if we signed Pukki or Belotti. More experienced strikers would fit better.
I think it is hard to say that both of those strikers failed. They barley played! Janssen maybe had more of a chance but Vinicius barely got on the pitch in the PL. If we are going to stick with the mantra of Kane or Son being undroppable, you need a player who is happy to sit on the bench. Which for me is a problem as I would want players that are desperate to get on. The only great example I can think of in the last few years of a high calibre striker who seems happy with limited minutes is Origi

Reports that they have Ten Haag lined up

I think he'll flop unless the players buy in and they hit the ground running. They seem to have hated Rangnick's time so maybe the change will prompt a quick start.

Man Utd fans will want instant success and improvement. They've no time for patience (mind you, I said that about the scum and arteta and was wrong) and I think that is what they need. They are basically now what were Liverpool 30 years ago. Could be a long road back for them.

Anyway, Kane to Man U makes zero sense, however much the media, Sky Sports and the club want him to go there....and it will be a lot.

Nah, the scum fans showed no patience..... The board just doubled down on their decision.

Kane could leave at the end of next season with the club goals record and the England record, for a fairly modest fee. Don't see any reason to go to a side in the Europa League ahead of a Conte season. 100 million and he goes to City though.
