Well if the online chit chat is anything to go by, we ain't getting any of the 4 first choice LCB. All of them have agreed deals, refuse to leave or would cost 70m+.
Don't you think its time we splash 70m on a key position? Liverpool spent 75m on Van Dijk, and look how that turned out

If the player is in their prime and has the right mentality etc. We can't afford a mistake like Kepa, Lukaku etc.

We just spent 50m on Romero; it's not a dick-waving contest..... Price-tag really ought not be considered in such a way. Surely we've learned by now it's no guarantee of quality, mentality or ability to adapt to the league.
(Up to half of that VVD price-tag would have been dictated by the fact that he was EPL proven and still had 3 years left on his deal.)
Nice. Presses really well, got good ability and has shown he can score double figures. Really good depth option if he's happy to do that role. Would also mean no need for an out an out CF as he can play anywhere across the front 3, so excellent cover for both Son & Kane.

I've always seen him as a player with a massively inflated opinion of himself, so I'm no sot sure he'd tick that box.
(Also find him to be very dislikeable - divey, whingey and moody...... Whether or not that translates better if he's playing for your team, who knows.)
