Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Jude Bellingham to Spurs is not going to happen (I hope I am wrong!) ....as, 1) Bor. Dortmund would want around £70-80m for him + his salary demands, 2) he would most probably want to join a bigger/richer club than Spurs

Ledley King, speaking to Reece Mennie on his podcast, said: “The one player that I really like is Jude Bellingham.

“He is going to be some player. I’d selfishly love to see him in the Premier League, but only at Tottenham of course! He’s going to be a fantastic player, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s starting at the World Cup.”

Sad but true. Under UEFA definitions :

Club trained
Kane, Winks, Tanganga, Austin (and next season Skipp over 21) - Minimum 4

Trained by other clubs affiliated to The FA :
Sessegnon (Minimum 8 including Club Trained to have a full 25 man squad)

So if, for example, we wanted to upgrade Winks and give Tanganga a solid season of playing (he has made 23 PL appearances in 3 seasons, 48 in all comps), we would have a total of 4, implying a squad (with the maximum of 17 overseas trained players) of 21 players over age 21. If we do neither of those, we have 6 HG players and can have a squad of 23 players over the age of 21.

Of course that excludes a few youngsters at the club, albeit without much experience, who might bolster numbers.

Makes me want KWP back, Edwards to (if Gil stays Spain)…

Messed up big time, if Kane wants out again… sigh

We need 5-6 in next 3-4 years as you are always saying, get 2-4 every 4-5 years at least.

Clearly we’ve started, but need a set of 16-17 year olds, stop this recurring.

Richarlison is not good enough to threaten the places of our front 3 but is better cover than Lucas/Berg. Is that we want?

Or do we want someone that can genuinely usurp Son or Kulu if they are going through bad spells (we know Kane will never be dropped).

Do we think Bergwijn can cover the ST role? On recent form you'd think he could...
Richarlison on the other hand, though not better than Son, Kane or Kulu, would be able to credibly cover all three positions- we've coveted having a playing with such versatility for a long time now...

I think you have assumed Winks will be sold - perfectly possible , but worth stating that or including him.

Personally don't think Sarr has shown enough this season to be in the squad, so fully expecting him to be loaned out. Ditto Clarke to be loaned or sold
Even Noni wouldn’t be club trained now, thinking back sure it was summer last chance to get his 3years.

Richarlison will cost a lot - although his price has dropped a bit.
I doubt he'd be happy being an understudy at Spurs though. Problem is that Spurs don't have the money to pay top players enough for them to be "happy" on the bench.
Jonathan David would most likely cost (a little) less than Richarlison; although I doubt he'd join to be an understudy either.
Brennan Johnson would be a more likely signing though. HG, is fast and has plenty of "potential".

Don't mind Richarlison, plenty of potential to work on and will settle in our team like a duck to water. If he's gonna be a backup to Son we could do a lot worse.

Possibly, but I assume if we targeted him he'd be aware of the role he would play. At Everton he might fancy himself a bit because big fish small pond, but here he may be more accepting of a squad role. He'd get plenty of play time with the number of competitions we'd be in.

Oh he's a prick, but I don't really care about that .. unless it's legitimately nasty off field stuff. Opposition fans must fucking hate Romero. All I see is a player who ticks a good few boxes for us. Probably just BS rumours though.

As swap for Bergwijn n Lucas, maybe OK… but rather we resign Edwards or Noni tbh (not that they are as proven, but equally if not more talented and English/Spurs).

Yeah tbh adding HG talent has to be on the agenda big time. I mainly like the idea of Richarlison for the flexibility factor, if Kane's out/being rested he can play through the middle, and out wide if it's Son. That's solid cover for our two best players.

Edwards is a left footer so he'd be good depth for the RW position.

Would definitely boo that diving, lizard relative looking fuck
tenacious frilled neck lizard GIF

We can afford to replace a Moura with a Richarlison. Not saying we want to or he will want us but we can pay our 4th attacker a competitive salary and they will play in most games.

Can't imagine Edwards would be too eager to come back. Would be nice though.

Why not? Sense he’s probably humbled, not yet nailed a spot at Sporting so might be seduced by a Conte phone call (if he sees ingredients in him, or Paratici).

Might have a point to prove, we own around half his next fee it’s said… we’re desperately short HG…

I'd be happy if he did come back, but don't forget Gil. Thought he looked good in his few appearances before going back to Spain.

Thought I said, initially, if Gil stays Spain, they are similarly talented/types…

TBH, wouldn’t be upset if Berwign, Gil stay (or go for a good fee), Lucas for cheapest (though if he wants to stay he’s earned that in Amsterdam). Get one of Noni or Edwards for all three, then use the money on CF (Schick).

We have three foreign spots tied up there, in one subs bench space…
