Frankie De Jong in talks with Man Utd …

I haven’t seen much of him at Barcelona, but he looked exactly the player we need at Ajax. He can’t be that keen to move to be offloaded to that circus ? Should we…

If he goes there it'll be for Ten Haag (and a stupidly big wage).

He's on stupid wages, I remember a report detailing why Barca were bankrupt last year and it showed what the players salaries were and if I recall he was on something like £300k a week or something.

Pricetag floating around at £75-80m too.

What makes you think he is keen on moving? That's an old interview with club PR, and he never opens the door to moving. In fact, he talks about wanting to push on and win trophies at Spurs.

I'd suspect he's more open to a loan than anything else. Been at Spurs since he was 5, surely he's not going to be instigating a move just as it looks like we may win something.

Hope it works out for him, wherever he goes. At least we know if he does ever kick on, we've got dibs on him.

If he's happy to stay then fair enough but he's not going to get any matches so it's probably in his best interests to seek other opportunities, I don't see why he'd want to sit on the bench when he has offers to start for other PL teams elsewhere.

The really good news is that Antonio Conte( who knows a bit about what a top level midfield player looks like) apparently adores him. Pretty sure the Skipp medical fiasco will finally see us rid of the Flight of the Concords medial team, that's how mad Conte is about Skipps loss. He rates him very highly.

Yea, and even though Mou time with us was... you know, as it was (even if he is past his prime, he still has seen shitload of top players quite closely, I think we can all agree) ... then he also spoke very highly of Skippy. Saying he would be our future captain.

I don't think we should.
He wants cosmic salaries and even if ManU is in deep shit, their new coach still used to be de Jong's manager in Ajax.

So I would steer clear of him.

I'm so contradicted when it comes to Bale. A part of me knows that it's not sensible at all to want him back and that he wouldn't work under Conte. The kid in me though wants to see him once more in a Spurs shirt, being cheered in front of a packed White Hart Lane, and helping Kulusevski develop even more.
He will be coming back to play a squad role, not a regular starter. Really think the five subs thing changes it up for a player like him

Yeah, I don't know him obviously, but spending basically your entire life at one club is a different kind of connection. Through that lens, it's easy to understand. Hard to give up on that dream, I imagine.

I don't care what player you're on about, if we want to win trophies we need decent players to start games and not so called squad player or bench warmer.

By squad player I mean someone who can come in and play without a big drop in quality. Loads of games next season and the 5 subs thing means bigger squads are needed.

Skipp (who I was talking about before you blustered in) is more than capable of this.

So watch your attitude you little cunt before you get burned.

Rumourmill going into overdrive. Bale to United?

I’d be delighted. Exactly the sort of shit signing they’d make. He won’t press in a Ten Haag system and his best days are behind him.

I love him because of what he achieved with us (he’ll always be a legend) but objectively his best days are behind him and he won’t improve United. Big wages, low impact - typical United.
