We're not though... We're a better team than them, but we're definitely not bigger than Inter. They're a giant of Italian and European football too. It's a shame their owners have been shit since Moratti left (Erick Thohir was terrible, and the Zhangs started well until China decided to fuck them and stop letting them invest). Inter fans (the ones I know at least) are deluded though. They think they're as big of a club as Barcelona, Bayern and Real Madrid.
No one cares about Italian football nowadays though. It’s not like when Iwas a kid and all the best football was in Italy. Now more people attend English second flight matches than Serie A matches. All the interest and revenue is here in the premier league.

Spurs transfer news: Paulo Dybala will leave Juventus this summer amid interest from Tottenham, though the north Londoners seem to have been put off by the wage demands

Tottenham are set to make a huge decision in their pursuit of Paulo Dybala ahead of the upcoming transfer window. The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane this summer, though the prospect of a deal looks unlikely as football.londonfirst reported.

Last month, the Argentina international confirmed that he will leave the Old Lady at the end of the season, with his contract expiring in the coming weeks. Before Christmas, Dybala had reportedly agreed a five-year extension with the Italian giants worth around £6.8million-per-year, according to 90Min.

But, Massimiliano Allegri's side then reportedly moved the goalposts and offered the forward a revised contract months later which the forward rebuffed. Dybala, who is leaving Turin after seven years at the club, has since been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, but a deal could prove expensive.

Spurs will turn down the chance to sign the Argentine, according to the MailOnline. It's believed that Dybala is asking for £280,000-a-week — the equivalent of £14.6million per year.

The report adds that Inter Milan have made an offer to Dybala which is believed to be £6million a year including bonuses but he is holding out for more. However, while the sum may seem steep, the forward reminded suitors of his prowess in front of goal as he scored within minutes of his stoppage-time entrance in the 2022 Finalissima against Italy.

Conte compares Spurs' top-four finish to trophy joy
Tottenham beat Norwich 5-1 to secure a Premier League top-four finish for the first time in three years.

Argentina waltzed past Roberto Mancini's side 3-0 at Wembley Stadium, and Dybala hinted that he could get used to playing on English soil. After an impressive Finalissima cameo, he told ESPN: "I am quite calm. The people who I work with are taking care [of it]. In Italy, I am very comfortable, [but] I would still like to know other leagues like the Premier League [and] La Liga. But I'm happy in Italy."

Despite his injury record, the forward has been one of the most coveted players in Europe. Dybala's impressive displays have attracted the attention of several top-flight sides, making him hot property on the free agent market ahead of the summer.

Since arriving in Turin, Dybala's been central to much of the Old Lady's success lately and, more recently, relished a vice-captaincy role at the club. In February, Chelsea, Woolwich, Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City were all offered the chance to sign Dybala on a pre-contract agreement, according to 90Min.

The report claimed that Paris Saint-Germain and Inter were also interested. However, the English sides were reportedly not convinced that Dybala would leave the Bianconeri this summer after Spurs were close to clinching his signature in 2019 before talks broke down over the player's image rights.

"I was close to leaving. That was in the club's thinking, I knew. Until the last minute, we were waiting," Dybala told the Guardian later that season before stating that his coach Maurizio Sarri had not been the one wanting him to leave Juventus.

football.london reported last month that Dybala was not being considered as a target this summer, although another forward that is on Spurs' radar is 23-year-old Napoli's Victor Osimhen, who has netted 18 goals in 31 matches for Napoli this season. Tottenham considered the Nigerian back when he was in Ligue 1 in Lille and he would now come with a big fee after impressing in Italy.

A couple of talented 22-year-olds have also been catching Spurs' eye, as well as most clubs across Europe. Real Sociedad's Swedish striker Alexander Isak and Uruguay international Darwin Nunez, who has netted 34 goals in 41 matches for Benfica this campaign, are both players of interest, while Bayer Leverkusen's 26-year-old Czech Republic striker Patrick Schick has also been watched as he has plundered 24 goals in 31 matches this season.

Both Conte and Paratici are fans of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and Spurs attempted to sign the 24-year-old last summer. However, since then the Argentine has signed a new long-term deal and is expected to be extremely difficult to prise away from the Serie A side this year.

......Perhaps Levy also saved 300m by not signing Mbappe too.

"football.london reported last month that Dybala was not being considered as a target this summer,"

Massive load of hot air, none of which utters the word "Levy" beyond the headline. If Conte/Fab didn't want him to begin with the entire thing's is a non-story.

....Still, that Levy eh?

LOL at Inter though....
Dybala: "I want 14.6m per year"
Inter: "OK...... How about 6m"
They too must be run by a "tight bald cunt", innit. :contethumb:

A lot of fuss for not a lot of money at the moment.

Not being funny; I know they're a poorer league, but these fuckers always demand top whack for their players..... Fuck them and their bargain bids,
We paid 42m for Sanchez, Barca and Juve paid approx 70m each for De Jong and De Ligt. A bit insulting how they're acting so stingy.

I think west ham are comfortable enough financially that they will never sell to us. Any west ham player we’d have an interest in, surely other clubs around our level would as well and they’d just sell to them?

What is this outrage towards Bergwijn now? He's understandably frustrated because he's been under valued by several coaches at this point. The only one who has been treated worse than him for no reason is Rodon, although Conte said that he didn't play Rodon because of bruised ribs. Bergwijn is 100% in the right here, not because he's good enough to make the 1st team, but because whenever we needed to change something, either he didn't play, or Lucas was subbed on instead of him. Apart from the Brighton chance, whenever he was subbed on he delivered.

I watched the game yesterday and he played well, scored a cracker of a goal and looked lively. I'd much sooner get rid of Moura and keep Berj and while we are on that subject Gil was also outstanding.

Those are two players that we need for the PL and early domestic Cup competitions, even early qualifying group stages of the CL?

We need to have faith and let Conte build a squad, anyway with five subs next season they need to understand that they will be getting more game time in what is now becoming a squad game rather than a starting eleven one.

It would be most interesting to see whether GSB give a shit or just see pound signs.

I think if they wanted the money they'd just spin the fans some bullshit and take it; maybe smear the player in the process too if required.

Worked out for Southampton in the 90s. They just let Le Tissier do what he wanted and watched him score a goal of the season contender on a regular basis. He was lazy, didn't train well and would never have made it at a big club. He knew this and that's why he stayed where he was worshipped rather than move where he'd probably be vilified.
The only way in which Ndombele would be comparable to Le Tissier is if he's really really into conspiracy theories...because they're not even close on footballing ability...
