Honestly, I think he's going outdo his 23 goals next season. The more options we have, the better, as the opposition defense will inevitably need to turn their the attention elsewhere meaning more time/space for Son. It also means Son will be able to focus more of his attention on just scoring goals instead of build up play which he's subpar at.
Look what happened after we brought in Kulu/Bent - Son hit another level. After they joined, Kulu provided Son with the most assists - even more than Kane. The addition of Perisic (and potentially others) just means that Son will be getting better and more quality service.
And if he ever took penalties (not that he should), he'd hands down win the golden boot again.
I think it likely has to do with his contract incentives as well. We don't have a "specialist" anymore and Kane gets a hefty bag for potting goals/getting braces/hattricks. He wants to hit those bonuses just like anyone would and him being our talisman striker combined with no real clear favourite to take them, he's going to be lining them up by default.
Seeing Son score a few in a row internationally will not go unnoticed, though. Just like when Dier and Trippier had good efforts for England, they were on the ball for FK's for Spurs. I suspect we will see our fair share of FK's from Son too this coming season.
That perhaps needs to be taken up with the Spurs managerS (note: plural!), rather than used to further stir up some bullshit that there is an anti-Son conspiracy amongst Spurs fans.
Kane is universally acknowledged on here to be shit at FKs.... This doesn't make Son any better or worse on that front.
Every FK scored (hell, every goal scored!) get's scrutinised.... Who's to blame... Who could have done better..... Could the keeper have done more. It's nothing personal to Sonny.

There are some highly sensitive souls in here when it comes to Son. The mere suggestion that a PL standard keeper saves the first FK is met with disagrees and sarcastic shit. You then suggest that if he was banging them in during training he'd probably have taken some in games and you get some bollocks quote about practise. How the fuck is anyone meant to know if he's good at them if he doesn't do it in training and hasn't stepped up in games?!
I bloody well hope he is genuinely brilliant at them & we've been missing a proper direct set piece taker this whole time. Maybe he's been working on them and it's paid off lately? Who knows .. we'll see next season. But this whole bullshit narrative that Son would be banging them in if it wasn't for meany Kane and meany Dier taking the ball off him is a load of rubbish.
No one ever claimed even once in here that Son would be banging them in.. Jesus. Just that he deserves a chance to have more than his fair share of attempts.. not just occasionally.
And no, I don't think for one second that 'meany' Kane or Dier are taking the ball off him. There could be other countless reasons for them taking it.. even if they shouldn't. For example Son takes our indirect free kicks and all of our corners. So maybe they didn't want to rely to heavily on Son and feel like they are placing all the responsibility on him.
I personally think Son should take our left sided corners (the inswingers to me are slightly better) and all of our indirect and direct free kicks. Then Kane should takes Pens obviously as he is the best in that regards. Corners on the right side should be up for grabs.
On another note..There does seems to be some sort of narrative on here (the forum) that goes unnoticed. If Kane scored a free kick against Germany.. then you wouldn't get the whole 'a PL keeper would have saved that' nonsense... unless it was literally straight at the keeper. A goal is a goal... And yes you have every right to make that criticism of the keepers to say that they should have saved that. But honestly it comes more across like an excuse to give reasoning as to why Son might have scored a free kick.. especially that second free kick of his. It was a good free kick.. be happy about that, rather than moaning about the quality of the keepers all the time.

This is a discussion.. none of us, unless we are insiders or family/friends could text Conte. And even if we could why would he listen to us. However I do hope that whomever makes the decision for free-kicks has a think over the summer break.
He hasn't seen all 53 of Kane's missed free kicks so I'm sure he has given Kane the benefit of the doubt. Conte's only seen Kane miss ~5 free kicks thus far. I'm sure he'll give Kane a couple more chances at the start of next season and then switch to Son when he inevitably misses them.
Conte doesn't seem like a manager that plays politics and just gets straight down to business making necessary changes.

I said on ONE free kick that it was poor goalkeeping and then you made some bullshit little sarcy post because you took it at a personal attack on Son, so I addressed the second one too. Said numerous times both were great hits (especially the second). I have zero interest in discrediting Son, he's the best finisher in the league, should have won PL POTY and is ARGUABLY our best footballer.
And yes, if Kane scored a goal a keeper should have saved & people were saying 'he should keep taking them for Spurs now!' I'd point out that it was one the keeper should save, and probably won't happen regularly. And I'm pretty fucking sure you wouldn't be along in a hurry to take issue with that, because it's not Son.

How is it a conspiracy to want to see a change in free kick taker. I don't care who it is.. even if it's rotated for awhile to see who does it best. It's a suggestion.. and something that many would like to see.

Yeah I wouldn't take issue to that.. and that's only because Kane does take our free kicks. If he didn't and was scoring them other games such as internationals.. yet our free kick taker for Spurs was never scoring them.. then I would call you out and say.. And you were the one talking about toxic behaviour on this thread, but feel it's ok to talk about my self awareness and reading comprehension. Do you not see the irony in that?
Internet forums are typically toxic because people feel the need to always try to 'win' an argument. So comments like the above whilst seemingly harmless (don't worry.. I don't actually care what anyone on the Internet thinks about my reading comprehension etc..) will result in a never ending spiral of back and forth messages and replies. And it only stops when 1 or both parties act like grown ups and says let's move on.
So that is what I suggest here. Maybe there has been some miscommunication from my side. I am happy to put my hand up and say that I can be wrong about things.
The whole 'PL keeper' thing is an example of this.. but that is not strictly just because of the Son/Kane remarks about free kicks. It's also to do with a sense of elitism I have sometimes seen from fans (not saying yourselves) that makes it seem like if a player is not in the PL then they can't be proven quality. Something that I disagree with that's all.
Pointing out that you have responded badly to someone merely analysing a FK (and that even now you continue to be in denial about the content/nature of those posts) is not toxicity.... So no... No irony here.
