They can't register their free transfers because of the wage cap based on a club's income, not because of whether they could afford them. Messi wasn't allowed to just play for free, La Liga rules state that a contract has to be a minimum of 50% of the previous contract, hence why they couldn't offer it.
 
Money is no object this TW, £150m in the kitty to burn plus CL money and sale of few fringe players makes it in the excess of £300m, should go for marquee signings, compete for the title and a couple of cups for the trophy cabinet.

No idea more that anyone else reads but perfectly possible that police interest in Bissouma is now limited to him being a witness to his 'mate' (thought to be uncle) conduct and not his conduct. But I'm sure there will be a further update from police in due course
