I just want us to have two specialist CFs, let them compete.

Maybe i'm being unrealistic?
you're being very unrealistic. A CF that is capable of actually competing with Kane isn't avilable on the market for any kind of reasonable price.

Even 150m Osimhen might not be real competition for Kane. Lautaro is DEFINITELY not on Kane's level. Only Lewandowski and Benzema are a competition for Kane.

Unless we strike gold with some unknown prospect, it'll have to be a backup. So Kane will play against all the big 6, and the big CL games, while the other guy plays Bournemouth, and Rochdale etc. Don't see Lautaro, Osimhen accepting that. Richarlison as backup for all 3 attackers is more likely.

Apparently Osimhen is valued at £86 million.

by who? The napoli boss is like levy with a big mouth. He's not letting Osimhen go for anything less than 150m or maybe even 200m. Man is insane.
Osimhen is a very good striker, but I wouldn't pay more than 50-55m gbp for him. I do think he would fit the profile of a worthy Kane replacement when the time comes though.

We'll never replace Kane with a striker anywhere close to his level of passing, so shouldn't be too concerned with those aspects when scouting his eventual replacement.

The only people who still think Utd are an attractive proposition are those deluded clowns , Gary Neville , Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand who are stuck in a time warp !

They signed Varane, Sancho & Ronaldo last season with Ole as coach .. they're ran like shit but can still attract players with huge reputations because of the United name and the money they can offer. Even during all their shit years they've signed others like Cavani, Pogba, Ibra etc.

Depends on what you define as technical ability, he's a fairly decent tackler, good positioning for interceptions, and a good final pass with through balls and some crosses.

On the other hand, he's very easy to press, can't turn with the ball so forced to pass it back too much, struggles to control long passes to him, can't spray the ball about like Kane, Dier, and Romero. The biggest issue by far is the fact that gets into good positions in the box on a weekly basis and then cocks up the final pass/shot. Based on the chances he's had, I'd expect someone like Son to have 6/7 goals.
for the position he plays hes fine technically. has good weight to his passes which is key for a cdm imo. hes better at spraying the ball about than dier imo, not that thats exactly a statement of greatness. yea his body movement isnt the most elegant and smooth so yes he does turn slow etc etc, but on the flip side to that hes stronger in 50-50s as hes more rigid...cant have it all.

he definitely for some strange reason gets a lot of stick from his own fans. hes a little bastard on the pitch, wants to win at all costs and knows some of the dark arts, you need them players, its not a popularity contest. one thing he was doing too much of before was moaning at teammates when it was his fault but diers done that a lot too.

hes also got the bottle to open his mouth and lead, majority of players cant do that and that results in a team going soft.

There is 0 chance of Eriksen signing with Utd if there’s an offer on the table from us.

1. London (wife and kids feel at home)
2. Champions League (personal ambition)

0 chance!

Would absolutely love it for you cunts to explain your snide disagrees for once. Bring it.

In short passing in the attacking third, but not the long passes to spread play to the wingbacks, or when under a lot of pressure.

Winning 50/50s isn't the issue, it's that you can't play out the back with him, as I said, even a bit of pressure and the ball has to go back to a CB, then to Lloris to hoof it. He doesn't have to have it all, but if we start him, this is an issue.

And that's the reason he should stay, but as a footballer, he's still pretty sub-par. He still has all the flaws I was talking about.

If our new signings bed in well, and show good leadership traits, we should look to move him on in a few seasons.
