Conte’s preferred formation is a 3-5-2. This is the system he used for almost the entirety of his three seasons as Juventus coach, with an outstanding team built upon the solid foundations of the BBC backline of Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.

The Italian coach also utilised this system with the Italy national team and with Inter.

At Chelsea, Conte also used a three-man backline but the system often took the shape of more of a 3-4-3 with Eden Hazard and Pedro as natural wingers, or a 3-4-2-1.

Chris Wilder drops big hint over Djed Spence Tottenham transfer as he gives fresh update on deal

Tottenham are keen on securing a deal for Djed Spence as Fabio Paratici looks to bring in a new right wing-back for Antonio Conte

Chris Wilder is confident that Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence will get a transfer sorted out with Tottenham keen to clinch a deal for the talented youngster. Joining Nottingham Forest on loan at the start of last campaign, the 21-year-old played a major role in Steve Cooper's side winning promotion via the play-offs after delivering some towering performances over the course of the term.

His displays subsequently alerted Premier League teams and clubs across Europe, with Spurs' managing director of football Fabio Paratici wanting to tie up a transfer for Spence as the Lilywhites look to strengthen at right wing-back ahead of next campaign. Making it clear that Middlesbrough have set a fair price for their player, Wilder appears to have hinted that Tottenham are the only club involved in signing the England U21 international after claiming that "all three parties will get round the table and get this sorted out".

"Well we want the going rate. The negotiators, with my input, we've set a price and a fair price. We don't want to hold anybody back," he told BBC Radio Tees Sport. "Djed has made it clear that he wants to go play in the Premier League, he's earned that opportunity which he has done. You cannot get away from the fact that he's had an incredible season and with that comes interest but it has to be at that right price.

"While we'll not pay over the odds, we as a football club have got to set a fair and reasonable price for that to happen. I'm confident all three parties will get round the table and get this sorted out. If that happens then I'm sure we'll all walk away happy with the deal.

"We've got good players underneath, as we've talked about in terms of Izzy Jones and his progression last season. We've got a player who has had a fabulous season and got his rewards for that in terms of a big move and we've got the going rate for the England U21 top right wing-back of English descent."

Spence registered three goals and five assists in his 46 games in all competitions for Nottingham Forest in 2021/22.

saka is going to citty i bet you anything

this also saka money
I've heard Liverpool are going to try and bid for Saka next year. City apparently are happy giving Palmer a chance to be back up RW.

But this makes it even more important that we scupper their Raphinha move. Realistically they're not going to find a better Saka replacement than Raphinha. Good news is that it's being reported that he wants to play CL football.

I have very strong doubts that:
- Felix will join Spurs not being guaranteed a starting spot
- Spurs willing to pay close pay £90-100m for a player not thriving in a similar system at Atl. Madrid.

For around £60m (i.e. Emerson & Lo Celso + £10-15m) I'd be ready to take the risk if Felix wanted to join Spurs.

Joao Felix has already sent Spurs six-word message as Conte plots £69m swap

According to BarcaTimes, Felix is no longer considered 'non-transferable' by Simeone and the striker's agent is in contact with a number of clubs - one of whom is said to be Paris Saint-Germain. His departure 'isn't ruled out', and should a suitable offer arrive, Atletico might not stand in his way through the exit door.

The Express are reporting that the Spanish giants may be willing to include Giovani Lo Celso, who enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Villarreal last season, as part of any deal involving Felix. The Atletico forward is currently valued at £103.7million, according to CIES Football Observatory.

Meanwhile, the Spurs midfielder is valued at £34.4million,
meaning that a £69.3million bid could be feasible on any potential Felix transfer. With Woolwich yet to propose a more lucrative offer to the Spanish giants, Spurs have seemingly put themselves in the driving seat.

You've started so many enic/Levy threads - so just go to them rather than turning another thread with your vitriolic hatred of Spurs and its owners - as the poster asked you politely to do. Or better still just leave the fighting cock.

But the post I responded to was in this thread discussing the way we conduct our summer transfer business. So this is the only thread (and the correct thread) to respond in.

I think I've only ever started one ENIC thread in my 10 years as a respected and valued member of this community, btw

And, of course, my love for Spurs equals any member of this forum hence my frustration at our lack of success over the last 20 odd years.

Now, go wash your mouth out and think before you start launching personal attacks and asking other forum members to close their account
