wtf is this rubbish, the windows hardly been open ffs

Most of us so called happy clappers couldn't give a shot if the whole £150 million gets spent, as long as Conte gets the players he wants who gives a shit how much they cost?

I didn't criticise our business thus far, I criticised people pre-empting us not spending very much by preparing the 'well we strengthened!' line despite assuring everyone we would spend and making a huge deal of the 150 million being put in to the club. Obviously I don't expect us to have spent all of that yet, but that wasn't the fucking complaint.

Good for you. I highly doubt Conte gets all the players he wants without significant spending.

Pleased Sonny is getting recognition, he would do fantastic at Madrid but they can go fuck themselves.

Real Madrid could make Tottenham hero Son Heung-min their key summer transfer target having missed out on a move for Kylian Mbappe who opted to sign a new deal at PSG

Real Madrid are said to be eyeing up a move for Tottenham's outstanding forward Son Heung-min during the summer transfer window having missed out on moves for Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

With Mbappe choosing to extend his contract in France with PSG and Haaland returning to the country of his birth to sign for Manchester City, Carlo Ancelotti's side could move their interest to the South Korean international star.

The 29-year-old won the Premier League Golden Boot last season while shining under Antonio Conte and has now managed 131 goals in north London from 325 appearances in all competitions.

European football journalist Rudy Galetti reports that Real Madrid are following the profiles of various forwards as they look to strengthen their playing squad.

Among those options is said to be Spurs hero Son, who continues to impress in the Premier League having scored a career-best 23 in domestic competition last season.

One reason Spurs fans will be confident in keeping Son is the recent extension of his contract that runs until the summer of 2025 - meaning any deal to take him away from the club would cost a huge amount.
If Real offer 90 million for Son, I'm sure we can replace him with a similar quality player (Raph, Nkunku, other), who is also younger and can have a similar impact. I don't want to see him go; I love the fucking guy. But we should not be afraid to sell a star player assuming we have good scouting in place to replace him with a younger version.

Raphinha or Nkunku are similar quality? Whaaaaaat? I can barely name any wingers in the world that can be compared to Son and I bet we won't be able to get any of them.

Nah, no, no, nein, nicht sorry - Pointless replacing Son, we'd actually go backwards. I don't care who we replace him with, Nkunku, Martinez, Raphinia (can we even fucking replace him?) he's in his prime NOW, we don't need the money either, awful idea.

Not really good business sense there after arranging a tour to Korea only to sell you're Korean superstar?

The fact we have £150 million does not mean we will spend all £150 million of that money on players that cost £150 million. Transfers don't work like that with amortisation. Conte could buy 6 players @ £50 million each all payments spread over 5 years. That's £300 million total commitment but only £60 million spent in this year in the books.

What will make you more happy:

1. Conte spends £300 million but is annoyed that he didn't get the players he wanted.
2. Conte spends £80 million, but gets every single one of his targets.

In the past we've spent so much on players that were brought in without a plan. Now we have a coach that knows how he wants to play and the type of player (not x player) he wants for that position.

It shouldn't matter what we spend as long as we spend it on what Conte wants and he has the squad he's happy with to challenge.
