Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The Spence saga is quite odd. We’re talking relatively “low” dollars, and would go a ways in solving our HG issue.

Not apples to apples, but City spent 40m on Ake for just that reason a few season ago.

But they want over £20m for a player with one good season in the championship who they wanted to sell for £2m twelve months ago. No way we should pay that. Boro are taking the piss because they know we are flush with money. He’s just not worth what they are demanding.

So we currently have £125m plus sales left to spend.

is it unrealistic to think with out potential outgoings that we can push that number up to £250m?

Regulion, Royal, Tanganga, Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn??

3 signed at only £25m so far does make me wonder if we have a few juggernaut signings to come.

Can we finally put an end to this bullshit. We don't have £125m or £250m left this window.

Read about how transfers work, how amortisation works. Transfers are paid over length of contract, usually 5 years. The money the club has available for transfers is forecasted over a 5 year period. As an example, If we were only doing transfers over 5 years and on year 1 we sign 6 players over 5 years costing £50 million each, that would be, £10 million repaid each year for each player, so £60 million for the 6 players repaid each year. If that is our max forecast transfer spend in that period, the only way we can sign more players in that 5 years would be if players are sold.

Transfers of course aren't only done during a 5 year period, they are continuously rolling on from previous years players bought and sold. Therefore the club's transfer budget will be forecasted on a rolling basis, based on income, growth, sponsorship and other factors, with risk controls in place. The thing that remains constant though is that every year we will have a transfer budget based on the above and not just a 1 off cash injection.

Is it over 20m? I thought it was 15m they wanted and we were offering 10m.

At the end of the day isn’t 20m the going rate for Champo players that show promise and have a good season under their belt?

Midas, Zeus, Hades, Hercules.

Fucking hell, I’m just realising that these ITKunts see themselves as Gods and heroes, don’t they?

:contefacepalm2:
I wish this one would take to heart the example of Midas' barber. Some Greek god condemned Midas to life with the ears of a donkey for judging a music competition poorly.. when the barber goes to cut Midas' hair, Midas removes his hat exposing the donkey ears. The barber, appropriately discreet but for some reason needing to vocally unburden himself of the secret, went outside, dug a hole, whispered this secret into it, and covered the hole with dirt again.
Maybe itk should be whispered into hastily dug garden plots in future.

I think I have to leave twitter. The Woolwich twitter is unbelievable!

Their levels of delusion is incredible, no humility, no shame! they quite ironically post about us so much and talk about how obsessed we are with them. it's deranged.

We have destroyed them mentally.

Just Mute anything Woolwich, gunners etc... I did.

Experience is much better.

This is good news if true, clears the path for Richarlison and Chelsea get a self obsessed sycophant in their squad who'll cost them a fortune

It is basically telling that Deco, the agent of Raphinha, is in Barcelona to find out how Barca are going about signing Raphinha.

Deco está en Barcelona para definir con la secretaría técnica el futuro de Raphinha, que sigue esperando al Barça

El Barcelona, que ya ha negociado con el Leeds, debe decidir si se lanza a por el brasileño y cómo ejecutaría el fichaje
