It's the way us as fans have been calling for the club to act, and I'm glad they have realised it the money now. Conte and Paratici have obviously had a big say on the approach, but it shows they are now have the money and a manager that they are willing to back, because he delivers results listening. Getting these players in early gives them a whole preseason with Conte's methods and integrates them into the squad a lot better. I'm very excited for the season ahead.

Still shy of a LCB and a RWB, but I'm confident we'll get those sorted, and keep an eye out for any other deals that are too good to ignore.

I'm hoping to see some more outgoings, but getting the players in first was always more important.

would be madness to not have a purchase option. If we do it could be very very shrewd business. I know he's flopped at Barca but a decent coach had him playing well before. Kulu was similar at Juve. If this guy fails he doesn't play and goes back. If he finds his form we have a potential first teamer for peanuts.

I'm liking the way we're doing business, some proved high money (Rich and Biss), some older experienced frees, some that have lost their way and need a new challenge, and some prospects. It's a solid strategy...

Exciting times. If the addition of the set-play coach comes off this is also a very positive sign that not only has this been highlighted at an obvious weakeness but also that Conte intends to stay and see this through.
Beat me to it.

This summer really is dispelling a lot of myths on peddled on here in years gone by

It's difficult to do transfers early

We have to wait til later in the window to get good deals

Buying a player isn't like popping to the corner shop for a pint of milk etc
It's not really dispelling any myths. Transfers are still complicated, but we are a much more enticing now for players with CL, Conte, and the fact that our spending power is greater and sustainable. That, assisted also by a very good DoF. Under Poch we hit a purple patch, so we were still an iffy proposition. Now we are seen as one of the rising powers in European football.

Maybe because we didn't know what the fuck we were doing in the transfer market hence our recruitment being poor, now we have a proper setup means we can prepare and plan properly.

The originally reported fee of 60m was a bit much I thought, even if he is a great player. But only 50m for a player like that is a great get and I couldn’t be happier with this signing. We’re really doing great business early this summer.
