Whoever Conte chooses, I’m down with.

I’m actually really excited to see Bissouma and Skipp pair up at some point, so assuming the latter’s 100% fit and healthy, that would be a midfield I wouldn’t mind appearing on the sheet.

There's not going to be a definitive 'starting 11'; and, in any event, with further ins and outs rumoured, it's probably better to wait until the transfer window is over.

Feels very harsh to drop Davies as he's been excellent under Conte. But I don't think Langlet came to sit on the bench. Went for Richarlison over Kulusevski, just. Sometimes it's easy to forget that Kulusevski is only 22.

Why did you pick Doherty?

Doubt we'll have a settled midfield two. One iffy game will have a Bentancur replaced by Hojbjerg or Skipp and so on.

Lloris, Romero, Perisic, Kane, Son to start when fit. Plenty rotation at lcb, rwb and to a lesser extent ccb and RW.

People that are slagging Doherty clearly didn't watch his last games for us or are just stupid. He produced in like 5 games what Royal won't in a season. Ok, he was shit, I agree, but watching him play in that 3-4-3 was totally diferent, he's exactly the kind of player needed in Conte tactics.

Davies will start the season and so will Kulu.

With the 5 sub rule; so long as we get all our recruitment done I'd expect both WBs and an attacker subbed around 70mins every match.

Then either a CM switch to energise or a 3rd CM (in place of another fwd) to close the game out.

Erm, I could name Liverpool's starting XI most weeks and get it right 95% of the time. Same is true for quite a lot of teams.

Squads are important now but most teams will have an on paper best XI which they will play more often than not.

Doubt it. Reckon you have all players available for selection less than 5 games per season. It’s pointless and irrelevant

I thought the whole point of strength in depth is that we don't have a definitive starting XI....

It'll be any 11 from 18/22 squad players... Without disrupting the team.
