He won’t rank up with Bissouma or Perisic for elite name but I have been quite excited to get him.
Obviously caught the eye against Woolwich in the cup. He is very raw but we haven’t had a full back/wing back with this level of speed or physical power and aggression since Walker. The game against Woolwich he murdered Martinelli who is one of Arsenals quickest players so having someone who has out and out elite pace will be a benefit.

And not necessarily asking for "elite"........ I'd make do with someone trusted to make us incrementally better; even if we look to punt them on in a year or two.

Not sure how excited I should be about Spence. The wingback on Conte seem to be the most important position, but he always worked with sub-par players as wingbacks in the past and it worked too. Hopefully his crossing is good

Yes I am. Persic at his time of life will not be a constant and we still haven’t secured Spence (although I hear it is close). I was not unhappy with our team last year once Conte arrived. But our only real big let down was wingbacks.

Agree. Of course a top player wants to play for Barca, despite the financial BS. I’m not sold on him as a player at all but if Conte is keen so am I
If medicals are on Saturday, if everything goes according to plan then Spence will be revealed on Monday. I really hope he turns out to be good, the kid has tremendous potential from the bits I saw of him last year.
