Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He’s fucking relentless isn’t he Conte? Absolutely brilliant. What we have needed for 20 years. The kick up the ass Daniel Levy has needed. You can’t be successful and go down the route we were going before unfortunately with today’s Oil teams. It’s time to mix it with the big boys and finally we’re doing it.

At the end of the day, even Levy must have realized that doing the same thing over and over again just wasn't working.

I think this window would have come earlier had we not made the CL final. I think Levy looked at that achievement and thought we could limit buying and repeat.

Obviously the new stadium has brought in financial rewards well beyond even what he thought, but overall it needed someone like Conte (and i think Jose as well) to tell him that he needed a complete change of mindset in order to take the club to the next level.

Finally Paratici would never had joined the club just to become an Italian Steve Hitchen.

The pain of transfer windows past will now be a thing of the past, and thank fuck for that.

Nothing to be proud of. I agree that most ITKS are charlatans and fantasists. But VY isn't one of those.

And for the record, if that's your attitude, I'd much rather keep VY and jettison you! That's it, goodbye, the end.

I have followed VY for a long while, both during his early years in SC and in here.

I have found his postings and to a similar extent JJ and another ITK in COYS (who's name escapes me) to be pretty much spot on.

The end of the day, if you don't like it don't read it or put contributors like him/them on ignore.

No chance. Koulibaly is still a monster. In my opinion, he's a top 5 CB in the World. He literally has no weakness as a CB. Can play the ball brilliantly, can be physical, can score goals, can clear headers etc. He's regressing sure, but he's still incredible. Hate to admit it, but a brilliant signing for the blue scum.
Your very wrong or I'm very wrong. I'd put money on it being you. Time will tell.

I think Spurs and Arse were on a par in 1996. Woolwich had their hey day. Graham was sacked for fiddles. They occupied a similarly old, small stadium. They pushed on when they hired Wenger. He transformed the club and did it because he was allowed to. Until now, no coach has ever been allowed to do what they want. Let's hope this is our (hate to say this) Wenger moment. We we have our hands on a truly world class coach and we let him change the club forever.

Absolutely no dispute the stadium makes a difference. Not just financially, top players will be turned on by it. Something that was unlikely in the old ground when given the choices available at the time.
I reckon it'll make some money this season because we're all gonna drink the place dry celebrating our quadruple.

Sadly Woolwich were generally better than us during the 90's - selling the likes of Anelka and Overmars for excellent fees helped. We might have had a lucky break under Martin Jol to get 4th but lasagnegate intervened, and their better squad then saw them maintain our dominance.

If you want to blame someone you might want to consider the Harringey labour party who consistently opposed any form of regeneration until the Tottenham riots forced a change of policy - and of course Spurs stadium was part of the regeneration so was held up for years, even possibly a decade or so. And being confined by the revenues of WHL was a prime reason why our player investment could never match Woolwich......... but that of course is changing from the time crowds can get back into the stadium post covid which also helps all the other associated revenue streams.

This guy who's pretty good and on point with most things he says put this on his Instagram

"I've spoke about it before and at the time it was a no go.

But the press will start reporting Tottenhams interest in Maddison again in the coming days.

I'm not saying this will happen but Tottenham have gone back in

When Tottenham last showed interest they were given a ridiculous price by Leicester and Conte personally didn't feel it was worth it despite liking the player.

They now have had indication that Leicesters price may be more realistic.

There's some that believe that Leicester want to get players out the door before they buy. Which is why the maddison and Tielemans price may of been reduced and they may also be open to selling castagne as well as some non starters"
