Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Inter appear to be approaching transfers in the way that Levy used to.

Cutting their nose off to spite their face. Could have cut a deal with PSG quickly to move on Bremer, but have instead absurdly over valued him and missed out on their target (whilst also netting profit).

Now they have an unsettled player and are still in debt.

Dickheads.

Think it’s the lack of margin between offers for Skriniar Vs fee for Bremer.
These figures are hilariously specific but are about right from my reading of multiple reports.

Here's my estimates for the year:

Kulusevski (L)8Markanday0.5
Bentancur16Dele10
Perisic0Edwards (Sell on)5.5
Forster0Gollini (L)0
Bissouma25Omole0
Richarlison50CCV6
Ashcroft0Bergwijn26.5
Keeley0Clarke2
Lenglet (L)4.5
Spence12.5
BOUGHT116SOLD50.5
NET65.5
Read we forewent our sell in with Edwards, effectively still owning 50% of his next move?

He's shite in his own position, imagine as WB.
Yea- his best moments seem to all happen when he is played somewhere in the CAM/CF/ST area. His wing play has pretty much always sucked, and his delivery has pretty much always sucked. Hes definitely a guy that likes to run, dribble and shoot. You'd like to think his athleticism would make him great at WB, but holy hell it focuses even more on all the things hes the worst at. I'm personally very happy to let Lucas be the 5th attacker rotating around the front 3 and nothing much else.

Ill refrain from posting stuff from over there, it was meant purely for jokes and amusement as it always is, yet some on here think its a cart blanche for releasing & unloading all of their repressed anger issues o the poster (only replying to your post , not directing that at you per se  )
I've never considered you a prime offender. That's the bloke who's Avatar is a tribute to that place. Your is Jermain Defoe Yiddo!

Hilarious. Is Hotspur88 another one of those SC "In the know" mugs like Hercules?

"We like him, he likes us and would like to join but it's not an easy deal to do"
Does he realise that Maddison is a Woolwich fan, and has been angling for a move there for a couple of seasons at least. So no Hotspur88 - he does not like us and would not like to join us unless he has no other options.

Numpty.
Defoe, Bent, and plenty of other Woolwich fans as kids signed for us. Really, most professional footballers couldn’t give a toss about signing for a rival of their childhood team if it’s good for their career.

I don't like this argument but if you're calculating money spent as in isolating how much money you've spent in a window then why would you include add ons which are likely/unlikkely to get triggered later on down the line? So my example I made before; Everton signed Dele for free yet they could owe us £40m if he plays 90 matches (I think) but you wouldn't say that we sold Dele for £40m because we might not see that money...add ons are based on a series events which may or may not take place.

In fact the whole net spend argument is pointless because everyone knows clubs don'Dele is an exceptional case t pay the whole transfer fee up front, nor does it take into account the wages committed or the signing on or agent fees for that matter, then there's things like bonuses and they you surely have to include how much money you recouped when that player is sold and how much wages saved, it's a nonsense really.

It's just one of those debates that fans like to get into that go round in circles which don't really grasp the true meaning of spend or player amortisation.

Ultimately most negotiations end up with add ons which may well be triggered, its in both sides interests to be realistic. But of course not all add ons will be met, if things were certain it would be included in a base fee.

Dele is an exceptional case - the add ons are there so that if Dele recovers the form he was in say 3 years ago we get 40m ........ if he never does we get diddly squat (which is fair). But I'd like Dele to do well as he was great for Spurs at one time ........ will he, is the 40m question !

Your take has been addressed multiple times within the same few pages as your OG post.... In some cases by people who X'd you.

The fact is the RB market is shit thus summer.

If people have decided not to personally indulge you directly; perhaps that's due to your 'nowhere to be seen > moan > disappear again' routine?
It’s not a shit RB market if you actually go out and try and be ambitious and go and try and get a better right back than we already have.

Also my disappearing routine will be nothing compared to yours should our old failings in the transfer window come back to haunt us again this season, ‘Fixxy :sonpoint:

So, how about listing those better RWBs that are available with anticipated fee?
I, for one, would be interested to know who we have missed out on.

Okay then tell us which RWB you wanted? You just criticised without a solution
Okay, you surely will agree that RWB was one of, if not the weakest position in the team last season. So surely you cannot be fully satisfied with our effort to address this issue, by signing a Championship right back that our manager has immediately distanced himself from and has said was a player the club wanted not him.

A club with real ambition and genuinely trying to improve the team would have went and pushed Barca for Sergino Dest, or pushed Sporting for Pedro Porro, pushed Udinese for Molina. Etc etc.
There is absolutely no way we couldn’t have signed a better RWB this summer than what we already have.

LOL...... "Ambition"....... The cliche's keep coming.

Who then....? .....You've continued to dodge that question until now?

Let me guess.... Hakimi, yeh? 🤡

.....You make it sound like you'd be happy if we signed a 7/10 RB to replace a 6/10, but the truth is you'd still whinge that they weren't a 9/10.

What a load of crap.... Try harder.

M-u-c-h harder.

Look at the state of you; wringing your hands together at the thought of us having a bad window and/or things souring between us and Conte. Once upon a time you actually used to be good for a half-decent conversation. Now you're nothing, but a pound-shop John Thomas.

Sergino Dest. Pedro Porro. Nahuel Molina.

That’s only 3, but I’m not a pro scout. If you genuinely believe Paratici and co couldn’t find a better RWB in world football than Emerson and Matty Doherty, then deary me we are in bother.

I haven’t dodged anything. I’ve answered to people who asked me. You didn’t ask me that question at any point.

Also, I’m absolutely praying that Lenglet becomes the new Vertonghen, Spence becomes the new Walker, Richarlison is finally the backup striker we’ve always wanted. I’ll be here swallowing my humble pie happily if they are.

You on the other hand will still be here with your stupid outlandish excuses should they fail.

Who's to say we didn't "push" for one or two players that weren't interested?

The fact is you haven't a clue; but just assume we lack "ambition"; despite our trf activity improving and allowing us to qualify for the CL last season.

The fact you think it's 'no thing' for Spurs to 'seduce' a player out of Barca says a lot too........ If Barca wanted rid that's one thing, but players cling to the prestige of clubs like that.... Especially if they're not elite players (which Dest isn't).

On the contrary, if you believe that we made no effort to scout and recruit a high calibre RB and just said at the begining of the window "fuck it; who cares..... Let's buy a no mark" then oh dear indeed! :contefacepalm2:
