Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Guimaraes, Joelinton, and Maddison would be a top 6 midfield. The rest of the squad is lacking, but this would be a foundational buy for Newcastle as they make their move toward the City model. I would love to have Maddison and slow that Newcastle rise as long as possible.

I don’t give two shits about his teenage Twitter posts. The Sky post-match interview that was posted on here last week tells me that he’s either a good teammate and hard worker or a good actor for the cameras. He’s worth the money, in my opinion.
Joelinton is pish

Completely agree. He’s genuinely one of my favourite players to watch with the ball at his feet.

I think to be a top level footballer, you need to have an elite mentality, something which people outside of the profession don’t have. He clearly lacks this too, which is a massive shame, there’s so many kids out there who would kill to be in his position.

Ndombele will only start applying himself when his contract has 1/2 years left on his contract imo.
He’s all about the money he will have a good loan spell in a few seasons to try and earn his next contract

He had his dembele moment last season, moved into midfield, and looked very decent

Yeh shocking as it is for those of us who remember Joelinton as a piss-poor striker, he actually has become a bit of a tough tackling, forward thinking midfielder.

I'm interested to see how that develops. Like Dembele, he might just have been used in the wrong positions for most of his career

Same as. Can’t quite put my finger on why but I really think we shouldn’t go for him…

He’s basically a poor man’s Jack Grealish who would probably still end up costing nearly 2/3 of what Grealish cost city.

I know the homegrown factor is a draw, but considering the money he would cost I think we could do so much better…
Also his previous blatant hatred towards Spurs shouldn’t just be swept under the carpet either.
Had a better season than Grealish. Can score free kicks. Unfortunately he has the reputation of a bit of a pillock .Southgate never picked him since he left England squad claiming illness and was seen in a casino following night when England were playing.
No doubt on his performances he should be in the squad

If we want him and he doesnt favour champions league, Conte, linking up with Kane and Son, and London over them then i'm not sure i'd want him here anyway. I really hope we're in for him, we need a creative player, we need homegrown players and we have the money. Absolute no brainer.

I would take any of the two proposed players over Maddison.

They are both quicker, more skillful and suited to Conte's set up. I think if Conte wanted Maddison he would already be here.

I've not seen much of the other 2 but homegrown is such a massive issue for us. Of the others i know Paqueta failed at Milan and Zaniolo had had 2 cruciate injuries. Plus you have the, will they adapt question. Having said that i agree that I'm not sure we're that interested in Maddison sadly. If its about the amount of gossip it looks like Zaniolo.

Zaniolo played 28 games last season so i would assume he is injury free.

For me Zaniolo would be the better of the two but either would give us the trickery and creativity with pace that we lack.

Been widely reported that he’s a big fan of Zaniolo…

Obviously none of us can say whether it’s a financial thing to pick him over Maddison though.

Pure speculation. I don’t think finances are a problem, personally, but that’s just opinion.

I think if Conte wanted Maddison, the deal would already be i the can.

Be interesting to see if Zaniolo starts today, or if he ends up being an unused sub. This i think will tell us for sure if he's on his way to us?
