It seems to be the tactic. Even we forest a promoted team v supposed top 3 / 4 team with a super manager we couldn’t really control the gane. I think 2x Alf was better but that is now virtually every gane this season we have failed to really control. Do the same v spam who we all know will be up for it at home and we could be I btrobke. I just wish we could actually keep the ball and move forward.

Re-read the conversation.....

It goes a little something like:

You: Fan power stopped Man U signing Arn.
Shady: It didn't prevent them signing Igalo.

Oh come on, it's absolutely the same shit...... Both players on the brink of retrement (1 age... the other lost in China).... The ony notable diff is that at his best Arn was a much better player.

Then you should get on twitter and rally the troops. 👍
Was there the same fan backlash to Igalho as Arnautovic? No there was not. I’m sure They weren’t happy but they signed Igalho because they needed a striker on an emergency basis. There was some semblance of method to the madness, certainly not the same “shit”.

Wolves had 20 shots with a total xG of 0.71. So an average xG of 0.035 per shot. We had 11 shots with a total xG of 1.67. So an average of 0.15 xG. Our chance were 4 times as likely as to go in, yet they were the dangerous team and we were the ones "that didn't look like scoring from open play?" I suggest you rewatch that game.
When people say xG is a bad stat it's because people think it can be used in this way. You may be wrong or right to say they were more dangerous but using xG in this way adds nothing to that argument.

Would Fofana even make our first 11?

Probably not. In the sense that he's not on Romero's level. Conte loves Dier and he's not left footed. I think potentially and on form he's better than both Dier and Davies. But Conte is big on trust and who he trusts. I wouldn't back many to usurp Dier in that central defender role for Conte.

I'd say he's better than Sanchez, Tanganga and Lenglet though. But our big money centre back signing that shows AmBiTIoN will need to be a left sided centre back who can come in right away and perform. Which leaves us very limited when we already have Davies. Fofana is not that.

Much like the idea of Arn.....

Which was? ...........You left out the validatory element to your argument.

You think Igalo is/was better than Arnautovic?

The latter on his day is/was a bit of a baller; just a massive cunt.

So we signed Lenglet on loan and Chelsea sign Fofana and Koulibaly and possibly Gvardiol next year. Absolute piss take. Levy has proven this summer that there was no intention in competing in the future because we are not willing to sign the players we need to compete. The £150m was meant to boost our spending and enable us to do deals not just sign a few players. This is a board who did not sign players when Poch needed them most and they are shafting another manager.
