Bizarre to me that they weren't in for Jesus or Richarlison, really. Strikers at the right age who fit in with what Tuchel wants.

Gotta remember they got screwed in their chase for Raphina and Kounde and were already on the heels of Sterling...... All the while they were sacking Buck and Co with Boehly learning the ropes on the fly. By which time we'd already done most of our business.

Also notice when we were originally linked to Gorden, they were nowhere to be seen.

Just have to take it on the chin.

Yeah it's all been very chaotic under Boehly. Lots of spending on some players I do rate highly but not sure any of it fits in to a wider plan or if its just a whole lot of muscle flexing to try and get the fans on board.

I live out in Hertfordshire and my missus works at Watford A&E. she said a couple of locals said Sarr could be off to Spurs. Not heard that rumour and apologies if it’s already out there
It's funny how Dan James is absolutely hated on here, whereas Sarr is loved.

They're both the same player. Limited technically, heavily reliant on pace. Sarr in particular is a terrible finisher. There's a reason Watford fans are happy to get rid.

Please, surely we can do better than either of them.

Probably quite agent driven..... There'll have been countless knocks on his door saying "hey mr new chairman; buy my player".... Esp. on the defensive end as it was obv they needed many.

....but yes to "muscle flexing" too. In which case cheeky late run at Traore? : P

Chavs problems ain't their players, it's impossible that all their attackers turn to shit there. Tuchel can't coach ann attacking side

Sterling has been a marked upgrade on that left compared to Werner or Pulisic. Already bagged 3 goals in the league .. those guys get maybe 6 a season. Throw in Jesus ahead of that total waste of space Havertz at false 9 and they'd surely have scored a few more.

But yeah I agree with the wider point. Tuchel's system doesn't seem to benefit anyone but the wing backs going forward.

They had holes to plug, especially in DEF losing Rudiger, Christiensen, (Alonso soon) with
koudibaly fofana & cucurella. Plug hole of Timo with Sterling, they still need to Plug Lukaku

I don't see why we'd let any of Lucas, Gil or Doc go without replacements lined up.

Sooner or later Conte is going to get over his Emerson fetish and we will need more than just Spence for RWB.

Well we could as well sell Doherty.

Royal will be starting 100% of games anyway.
If his skillset is totally irrelevant, then I don't think a broken leg changes much. His attacking output will remain the same and Conte loves him so...

But in all seriousness - if Wet Spam (or Fulham or Forest or whoever) would be desperate and offer idknow, 15 mil for him, then we should let him go. He is 30,5, ain't gonna be around for long anyway. And not trusted right now. Deal would basically offset the Spence transfer. AND we would have Royal, Spence and Moura as 3 potential options for RWB...

You're responding to a poster with 6 posts in almost 4 years of membership and the latest of which he has utilized to criticize part of the community he can barely be arsed to take part in. That right there is toxic contribution (from them) that is not helpful to things no matter how much you agree with his sentiment. And further, it's off-topic whereas the thing he is criticizing was on-topic...no matter how much you disagree with it.

See Admin, if we implement my first piece of gold that 'contributor' wouldn't even be allowed to post in this thread until they built up some reputation/standing.
Hmm. You got the window open in that glass house? Some think using the mast below you avatar to needle a regular contributor could also be construde as ...Well toxicity. Admin have a word....
