He as usual waited and waited and waited to make changes. They were clearly controlling game near the end and he just couldn't bring himself to change anything whilst they changed systems when it wasn't working and put a CM on in place of a CB and actually made other subs.

Our cms were not performing yet he can't bring himself to sub one of them off. He eventually decided to bring Sess on but all very like for like.

They made subs and won...Conte decided to not change anything and we lost.

Well , to say I was disappointed with that is a bit of an under statement . Why do we play at a pedestrian rate? We look like we are just going through the motions at times . It makes it so much harder to then step it up .It must be time to give some squad players game time as we desperately need a spark .
I have faith that Conte will get it right but it is a bit of an ordeal to watch us at the moment . Felt a bit sorry for the faithfuls that travelled out there to witness that .

I thought Kane was awful tonight and his generally excellent passing was well off tonight - son awful again and richarlison not much better

That worries me the most with Conte. That he doesn't trust the players on the bench. Or is such a coward without the guts to make an early sub to shake things up when the status play like shit. It's bad for the team on the pitch and worse for the players that won't get a chance even if the team plays like shit. Bad leadership, i never expected me to say that about Conte.

I agree with you. We've been lucky on a few occasions. We seriously lack any form of creativity and execution by 50% off the team is Awful.

Says alot when Hugo was probably the best player on the Park.

It’s like we had a disease tonight. Even Perisic was crossing badly. I don’t know if the squad were complacent. Maybe the manager too. It looked a bit like the plan all along was to have played for a 0-0 and come home stress free.
 
Most importantly I feel for Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman and anyone who spent £££s going out there. Hope everyone gets home OK and managed to enjoy something of the trip.
