You're right, but it makes me wonder about Ndombele. If Royal and NDombele are opposite ends of that spectrum. Are we, in fact, just staring into a black hole?At some point actual footballing ability has to be a greater concern and Emerson has a distinct lack of it.
Lloris has been found out with all this passing about in our own penalty area that Conte has the team doing. But it's not just him, Dier spends too much time on the ball deciding what to do with it. Our wingback 'outlets' are failures. I'm not seeing the movement from Kane and Son as I once did.you know what's amusing and painful, Emerson was comfortably the best of the rear 6 on Sunday.
all these years and all this trading done and still rolling up with dier, davies, sessegnon, sanchez in key roles. Hugo i'll ignore as it's very hard to get a top quality goalkeeper to come in while the France's number one is fit and healthy and relatively still sharp
I recall Conte saying something like it isn't the same Matthew Doherty as last season.
and something else like I'm not stupid I don't want to lose.
he is already more than decent bentancur.

I don't even see what the hoo-ha is about Perisic, I've got him down as 'ok' and nothing more than.
Our midfield are full of sideways and backward passes. Sometimes it's passed all the way back to Lloris who then kicks the ball upfield, he'd have been as well doing that to start with than to pass it to the CB, who then play one/twos with the CMF before passing it back to Lloris for a kick upfield.
It's like teams have found us out and they just mark Kane wherever he goes, and double up on Son. who is way out of form anyway.
I think we should have Gil playing tonight, if for nothing more than forward going inspiration.
It seems to me that Doherty has been fit after his injury but his form isn't what it was like before the injury.Which was inevitably routed in the matter of injury/revovery/fitness.....
He wasn't just cunting the lad off.
He's clearly fond of him..... Look at all the love he showered him with after the Everton game.
Because he had an above average game and the rest of the backline pretty much had shockers.you know what's amusing and painful, Emerson was comfortably the best of the rear 6 on Sunday.

Be interesting to see who starts tonight. I prefer Matthew to Emerson.
Why do you think Conte is playing Spence for a few minutes at the end of matches, rather than give him at least 15 minutes so the kid has a chance to impress?
No probs, hope you have a trouble-free journey xxI’ll do my best to meet up, but make no promises.
I’m coming straight from a work meeting and I’m coming in on a route I haven’t done before so I’m not sure I’ll get there early enough.
Who are we but mere farmers to question the stunning nous of such a vaunted footballing pedigree?Maybe he’s even worse than them? Maybe he doesn’t understand all the detailed instructions from Conte? We’ve heard many players talk about how overwhelming it is. Maybe he’s got a bad attitude?
Conte has no issue playing young players, Skipp, Sessegnon, Kulusevski all play regularly for him. If Spence can’t get a game then that’s on him. He must not be doing enough. Why is Spence any different to Dele, Winks, Lo Celso and all the other players that Conte didn’t fancy? Because he’s new? If you don’t reach the level that Conte demands, you won’t play.
Nice, a 7-3-0 formation, reminds me of the infamous 8-2-0 from the Jose era
