Shouldn't be too hard to upgrade on some of the nonsense we have in our squad.
Agreed but as ever its getting rid of that nonsence thats the issue. For numbers we're ok, for quality we're way off. Doc, Emerson, Sanchez, Tanganga, Moura should all be moved on asap but who wants that lot? Probably end up having to loan Spence and Gil to bring anyone in. Might get a taker on Tanganga if we're lucky.

All players are assets to someone, somewhere - one mans trash and all that...

The sticking point is the price and the deal in which Levy wants to let them go at but if recent history if anything is to go by then we should find takers.

As above tweet; emphasis is "quality"....... Minor upgrades are just players we'll be seeking to sell again in 12 months (or even less).

Got enough dead-wood already and as we've already learned this summer; the market is pretty shit outside of the EPL and the price-band we're looking to sell at is particularly weak.

If we're gonna take a significant hit on Ndembele, GLC, Reg and possibly Sess in the summer then it would be remiss of us to compound the problem with a bunch of £20m 6/10 journey-men types.

Should be fascinating how the various elements of this winter play out.

I actually think Poch coming back if Conte doesn’t extend could be a great thing. Don’t you wonder if Poch could get a tune out of this squad where Conte is clearly struggling? I think Conte’s System is too rigid.

We rarely go through the middle of teams like we did under Poch, we are obsessed with getting it wide and crossing. And that’s not because of the CE, Poch tactics mixed it up so we became a hard team to plan for.
Poch mixed up tactics?

This is maybe the first time I've ever heard someone claim this. I think you're misremembering Poch's tenure.

I'm fully committed to Conte doing at least another 2 years to complete a cycle and see where we are, but I would love to see what Poch could do with Bissouma.

Hmmm, selling Bergwijn was one thing but not sure who takes up our current crap. Bonus is Moura is out of contract in 6 months and Doc and Sanchez only 18 months left. Might focus the mind and mean we agree to small fees.

Lucas will probably leave at the end of the season.

They'll always be buyers, I heard the same thing about Ndombele in the Summer, people were scared he was going to run his contract down and couldn't find a club and we ended up getting him off the wage bill

Even if it loans until the end of the season or 18 months we can get rid like we did for Winks, Nbombele, Lo Celso. Rodon.

Besides all that we clearly aren't letting all our deadwood go in Jan, Tanganga, Gil, Sarr are most probably the 3 that will be off, doubt we'll be seeing Sanchez or Emerson leaving just yet.

Simple plan:

Loan out:

- Gil
- Spence
- Tanganga
- Sarr

Incomings

Must Haves:

- RW: Real competition for Kulu (Maybe Maddison is a good versatile option for this)
- RWB: ANY CUNT THAT CAN DRIBBLE AND CROSS A BALL

Optional:
- CB: Cover to replace the outgoing Tanganga who is an upgrade on Davies/Sanchez/Lenglet etc.

We don’t need a Kulusevski clone on the right wing. We need one on the left wing.

Son is the opposite of Kulu. Bad decision maker, poor in build up but obviously he’s fast and an amazing finisher. There are going to be games where Son at LW and Kane at CF is not the best option and we should put a more technical player in Sons place.

I think Levy would have Poch back if Conte doesn't sign up a new contract at the end of the season, if Poch is still available then and doesn't have a new team to manage elsewhere.

I'm not suggesting that Levy would sack Conte to employ Poch but rather if the circumstances presented themselves.
At the end of the season we have the option to extend Conte's contract an extra year. So if Conte has done a good enough job to to merit the extension, then I don't see Poch in the plans anytime soon.

On the other hand, one might argue that, if Conte hasn't signed a new contract by the end of this season, is it worth it to extend him one extra year knowing that is all you may have him for? Or would it be better to bring someone else in? And if it is someone else, then I think it should be whoever would be the best manager to for the team that Conte has built. It may be Poch (not very likely), or it may be someone else that is available at the time and plays a similar style to Conte.

Richarlison can play on the left.
