Son is the opposite of Kulu. Bad decision maker, poor in build up but obviously he’s fast and an amazing finisher. There are going to be games where Son at LW and Kane at CF is not the best option and we should put a more technical player in Sons place.

we have one already in gil but hes not been given the opportunity he should have. sons 19 games in now and has only been worthy of his shirt in two games. the other games hes been a passenger at best. in them 17 games gil would've offered us more in every single game as he can actually use the ball properly.

thank god! well overrated showpony. poor decision maker and poor at the basics.

if we want wingers we need players that can beat men but also have the technique to get the basics right (the bits that actually do damage). the balls into the box, the simple passes. kvaratskhelia is the sort of player we should be after as hes got the lot.

watching this madrid game now. this vinicius is so overrated! trying flicks over defenders heads. then gets into a position where he has a simple lay off to modric in the box and completely fluffs it. basically missed an open goal a couple times too. if you cant get them moments right why you even trying all them pretentious flicks. very much like zaha, try all these flicks and tricks but the pair of them are donkeys when it comes to bits of basic technique.

madrid are going to struggle when modric goes. hes still an absolute joke running the game.

I wonder if some of the best places to look for players are :

1. Those who play for Italy or Sweden - as neither countries are going to WC, players will be fresh in January

2. Clubs knocked out of CL or EL who are struggling with debt and needed the european money this season. Juventus is one who Paratici knows well .....

Others knocked out include Ajax (in EL), Atletico .....

Daniel Sturridge is a free agent after being dropped by Perth Glory after playing about 15 minutes all season and faking injuries to get out of player.

If Chelsea haven't pulled the trigger on Nkunku we should give it our best fucking shot - same kind off deal - sign and let him stay until the end of the season if necessary. I believe he's got a summer release clause that's about 60m Eur.

Upgrade on both Son and potentially Kane - and there aren't too many of them available. Boy can play different positions, technically excellent, quick, strong, lively as fuck and scores all sorts of goals - and creates them.

Failing that, go for Leao. Similar vibe, can do more than just score, can run at players and create for others, can play wide left inverted forward but also down the centre. Not quite as good as all-round wholesome Nkunku but would be an upgrade on Son in terms of all round game, and would eventually give us a Kane replacement.


We also desperately need some more quality creativity, whether that's advanced players or 8 types.

I don't disagree with any of what you've said but first and foremost we should be looking at getting RWB and LCB/CCB.
 
Maddison I think will end up at Newcastle. Given their season so far I think players will look at them differently compared to how they did in the summer. Still a filthy Arab sovereign money sports washing outfit but less in your face than City (for now).

The time to worry is when they try and buy our players to destabilise us (like City did buying the goons key players to push on).

There are no interesting Swedes beside Kulusevski, Isak and maybe Elanga, that would make a difference. Emil Forsberg at Leipzig could be interesting, he ticks the more creative than Son box, but is 31.
