I think that the change of scenery that he needs is to get away from football.

The drive is clearly no longer there. Hopefully his money has been invested wisely so he could take a long term break and just enjoy life.

If he ever finds the interest again he can always become a coach/trainer or a pundit. Possibly even an agent.

The boy is doing ok. Too much too young unfortunately.

Could have done with the Alex Ferguson rule of settling down having kids and responsibilities early on. Worked well for Rooney and Giggs!!

Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has admitted Dele Alli has performed below expectations since his season-long loan switch from Everton in the summer. Gunes' recent comments will act as the latest reality check for Alli, who is fighting to reignite his career in Turkey.

The 26-year-old's Tottenham Hotspur career came to an end in January, joining Everton in a deal potentially worth up to £40million. But he failed to impress Toffees boss Frank Lampard at the back end of last season, prompting him to be offloaded to Besiktas in the summer.

Alli has largely uninspired in the Super Lig so far, though, scoring one goal and providing no assists in seven starts. And his manager has now publicly come out to claim the former England international has been below par since becoming a part of his squad.

Ahead of Besiktas' mammoth clash at Galatasaray this weekend, Gunes said: "I couldn't affect the players [yet], now I can easily touch them, but we haven't touched Dele Alli yet. Let's not discuss Dele Alli as a player, but he is below expectations in terms of efficiency."

Even if he doesnt have the love for the game don't you at least want to try to make more money?

Either way I dont think money will be a problem for him. If you guys are right that all he does is play fortnite then he can easily spend the rest of his life in his house playing video games all day. He could even become a twitch streamer and make stupid money doing that.

He'll be 28 by the time his Everton deal expires.

Already earned 10s of millions of £s and with 20 months left on a wage of approx 100kpw, he still has another 9-10m quid to roll in.

I don't think he fucked up, I just don't think he wants to play anymore. Folks like us that would love to be in his position see it as a fuck up. Dele made a lot of money and he doesn't really want to play anymore... the tough part is that people keep throwing money at him to play so he takes it.

He hasn't exactly had a easy few years either off the pitch. Family drama with him disowning his biological family, two robberies in his home, at least one of which that he was present for and so on.

Like, if that was me I too would be looking for ways to cope. And if video games is his outlet we should be happy that it is what it is and he doesn't start abusing stuff that is actually directly harmful for his body.

Dele needs a long break from all things football I think.
