yea, hes a bit of an idiot for not milking that. salah goes down like hes been shot and gets a pen. we have to be more street wise. but unfortunately our squad is full of idiots.
Not condoning milking it but I'd say he definitely should for that sess decision, for all the time wasting, the fouls that the ref let go or perfectly good tackles get given as fouls for nothing. Decisions were a joke before that incident

Yes, I don't like focusing on refs, but that one clearly had an agenda. We would've had to get gunned down in their box to get something. It's embarrassing but so common. Thing is, refs are untouchable. If the manager or players go out and criticize his performance, they'll get fined. No freedom of speech as far as refs are concerned
The refs are paid by the Premier League.

The Premier League depend on a finite number of clubs, with the biggest overseas fan draws, to "advertise" their product, particularly in the Champions League.

If one of those clubs' CL status is threatened, the PL's revenue stream is threatened.

PL referees are "encouraged" to ensure that these teams are given every opportunity to secure a CL spot.

This is why they're untouchable and why no one is allowed to interview them to get some form of explanation for the unexplainable.

The PL is the most corrupt league in the most corrupt sport on Earth, but they know they'll get away with it because firstly fans are addicted to the game, and secondly because the vast majority of fans follow the teams that benefit most from the corruption.

THAT is why nothing will ever change.

The game in this country sold its soul when the PL started, and we were not in a position to take advantage of that thanks to Scholar, otherwise we'd be one of the "chosen few" that the PL brand is dependent on.

I've seriously fallen out of Love with the game that has been a huge part of my entire life. I no longer care really, as it's just one step away from "Sports entertainment" where the result is decided before a ball is kicked.

unfortunately thats the way it is though. you have to mik that to get a pen. the best teams do it. if hes actually made contact with his face then its dangerous play

The Ultra fan concept is definitely a European thing, and the only club that comes close in the EPL, is Crystal Palace. Even they have been watered down, due to a row with the club about seats/tickets . I guess it's just not the English thing to do.
Why not try something new? If it makes us having a great atmosphere it´s all good right?

Players get intimidated in loud an hostile environments, i would love to welcome that.
That said, we probably have one of the best fanbases in England, but it can always get better ;)

I know, I remember that game against Leeds and we were losing 1-0 in his first ever Premier League home game for us and there were fucking tools booing. It riles me. Half the reason I think we don't have much success anymore is because the majority of our fanbase just melt and turn toxic over the most pathetic of things.

Yeah THAT'S the reason.

We have fans who are no different to supporters of any of the big six. If anything fans of some of those clubs would've thrown far bigger tantrums if they'd been subjected to shit like a year without signings, 15 years without silverware, or hiring fucking Nuno to follow up Jose Mourinho.

Acting like our fanbase is uniquely awful, what a joke. Fans of other clubs actually tell me they feel sorry for me having to watch our football atm. We've built the big club facilities, charge big club prices and make big club claims, so guess what? Expect big club expectations from the fans.

Fucking Liverpool fans are borderline FSG out after winning a league & cl and having years of champagne football, but yeah OUR fans are total melts and totally the reason we've failed, meanwhile the fans of clubs winning stuff throw a hissy fit every time they miss out on a league.

Nah. Not having this bullshit 'the fans are to blame' narrative being pushed. They shit themselves 10x more in front of away crowds. That disgusting Manchester United performance is the prime example of that, far from exceptional opposition but a big away ground had our lot cowering.

We've got some players who aren't good enough to wear the shirt & the fans are expressing their frustration at that.
Absolute nonsense.

Support the team instead of getting on their backs. Please tell me what good booing does? Please.

Were you one of the clowns that booed the team in Conte's first ever home match for us?

It got Nuno sacked. Immediately something good it did.

If it means Emerson doesn't play for us again, a second good thing it did. I don't boo & don't encourage booing, but the fans have a right to do it and it happens at all big clubs. This whole blaming the meanie supporters excuse is such fucking bollocks.

They're grown men getting paid tens or hundreds of thousands a week to kick a ball about. They know the pressures of elite football. Is it nice to be booed? No. Is it the reason we're shit most weeks at the moment? Absolutely not.

No, I've never booed.

Were you one of the clowns saying 'support the team/manager, oh my god booing is the worst thing ever!' when Nuno was getting booed?

This is modern football. Like it or hate it, but acting like it applies to Spurs in some vacuum is such a bad joke and such a shitty excuse for all our failings.

No, I agree with booing in certain points but my point about booing is not because I don't agree with it, its this shitty attitude of booing at half time at every match where we are not winning.

It's pathetic and it's got worse. It's self entitlement from a lot of fans, the club is in a far better position than what it was a year ago yet there's still idiots that wanna cause a toxic atmosphere.
