Player Heung-Min Son (손흥민)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Have you considered the angle that you are the one that is emotionally a child? Or do you think you are just better and more evolved than the 22 people that disagreed with you?

Something something snowflakes ... something something soy latte ... something something testosterone & some comment Joe Rogan would make..

Sorry .. thought I'd get it out the way for him, the predictable fucker.

I'm surprised at the amount of hate Sonny is getting for showing some emotion. Why the hell should he be a robot? And besides that, he absolutely carried us while Kane was off in the Bahamas during Nuno's tenure. He's an absolute legend.

Forget the crying debate. I think the wanker was just trying to be funny. We do need to talk about Sonny though. Son last season has not come back this term and his form carried into the World Cup. At the end of last season there was even loads of media made up waffle about how he could be off to Real Madrid. We need our Sonny back!

Been our best player over the last several seasons winning our POTY awards in 3 of the last 4 seasons and putting up the most non pen goal contributions. I admit that he's been stellar.

BUT... his form is woeful. If you closely watch his game, his pace and explosiveness has deteriorated since the season started and it's affecting the rest of the game. You can just see on his face how shocked he is at how defenders are easily closing down on him and how he isn't even able to get a shot off with 1 defender in front of him.

He's been great and probably will go down as a legend for us but he needs to go. He's 31 soon and we can't wait any longer for him to magically 'find' his pace, explosiveness, and form. We can't hold on to players for old times sake.

We can however not give up on players based on barely over 1/3 of a season of bad form, after they had their best season just before it.

But is it though? The vast majority think that blokes a complete cunt. For the internet that's some reassuringly healthy ratios.
If Son wasnt Spurs this entire forum would be laughing it up at a gooner player crying week in week out. THAT IS FACT.

So spare me the moral superiority. I do not care that a player cries during a football game EVERY week. To me its funny. There is so much worse going on in the world.

Son needs to focus on his football skills and less on his cry-acting skills.

If only you didn't have to lie (*) to make your point, eh.....

(*Even as a mere exaggeration, it's bollocks......)

Counting his form aside, it wouldn’t be a bad time to cash out and invest that money on some younger players this summer. Asian players don’t have the same physicality as other counterparts. Look at Park Jisung from man Utd, his knee gave away completely at 32 or so. You don’t see too many Asian players playing beyond 33. Highly doubt Son is any different

Dude, take the ‘L’ and stop digging.
Also throw away the 1950 calendar.

No L to take. You dont have to search far online to see loads think the same way. As per my original post, I dont have a problem with men crying. So theres no need to throw anything away. Son could win awards for his crying routines.

Also people that say “men just need to cry more” tend to be the most toxic passive aggressive types that use that same thing against men depending on their ‘political views’ see Deuterz Deuterz post for example, babbling on about Joe Rogan, a podcaster that helps millions of mens mental health.

so take your fake outrage and stick it

Yep- he had an alright WC but other than the assist to clinch group promotion, did he even have any points? I don't feel like he really increased his stock at the WC, or did anything to dispel perceptions that his game has dropped a bit.

If a "big" offer does come in (50-60m?) I'd hope Levy would consider it. We're a bit clogged up at LW/ST right now, and Son (along with Richy) really is more in that striker/forward type mold rather than winger/wide-creator. Truth we could really use another Kulu type player at LW rather than another Richy/Son type player, but who would be a sure thing in that role, and could we even sign them? This maybe is the hardest part of all, which makes messing around with it dangerous.

For now I'm happy to see Perisic get any extra attacker minutes left over after the Kane/Kulu/Richy/Son mini rotation we've got. It's a bit frustrating but for right now the safest maneuver is probably just to wait and hope that Son plays himself back into form.
