ENIC In or ENIC Out

on most of those points I can really see where you're coming from and agree, it's just some of your previous statements muddied the water and seem to be fuelled by anger, rather than fact.

That Luka Modric link you provided proves that the player engineered a move but Levy refused to sell to a competitor, especially after the Arnesen debacle, and not for a poultry £22m. Both parties agreed he would stay one more year, and be sold abroad if the right offer came in. It did and we got £13m more than Chelsea offered.

Players will always claim ambition to move to a bigger club, and rarely admit it's for the money as it's bad PR and doesn't build a good relationship with the fans. Up until recently we've been a stepping stone for players, it's the sad truth that all bar a few teams have to cope with. In recent years the only player we've successfully held onto is Kane, and that might come back and cost us... It was a bold statement and whilst most fan were annoyed with Kane, Levy stuck to his word and didn't sell.
How can I put this?

Under ENIC Spurs sell all their best players or the best players run their contracts down and leave.

None of us know the finer details of the deals that take our players away.

What we can guess is that the players leave for more money first and foremost and if winning trophies is more realistic at the new club that is a bonus.

Those of us who are sick of ENIC want them to either behave like the clubs our best players always leave us to join or sell the club to owners who will pay the best wages, to the best players, and help Spurs to compete and win trophies.

After 20 years ENIC can no longer claim bad luck or greedy players have cost Spurs success.

It's ENIC.

English National INVESTMENT Company.

An investment company that don't invest enough in football players salaries.

This is where I differ.

Levy and ENIC have never changed their business method in respect of how they treat the supporters.

They have exploited the Spurs fan base in a very cynical and methodical way for over twenty years.

Graham, Hoddle, Pleat, Santini, Jol, Ramos, Redknapp, AVB, Poch, Jose and Nuno were all compensated for their troubles.

The loyal season ticket holders, club members and match attending supporters have paid the highest prices in the Premier League for their tickets and been rewarded with one League Cup.

ENIC have always been the same.

They never make any promises.

We keep coming back for more of the same.
Short term we are stuck with these wankers.
Long term I hope someone in the near future buys the club and we move forward to the next level.

It's as I said way back ;

Everything bad = Levy

Everything good = luck, not Levy
...you are being silly
What happened to all those managers who failed?
Sacked.
Your obviously happy with 1 league Cup in 20 odd years of ownership. Enic-Levy don't care about trophies... if they did we would have a decent scouting system and would back the managers properly...its happy clappers like you that seem to wank off over balance sheets and hosting NFL and defend Levy at every turn.

Which players in particular?

And I’m looking for names in the last decade or so. Players at the top of their game. In their prime.
I have noticed a pattern emerging.

Before Harry Redknapp's spell in charge ENIC and Levy preferred what I call;

'The Hostage Situation'.

This would usually involve signing a player with potential, on a long term deal, and demanding a ransom for the player, when he was inevitably approached by a more ambitious club, offering him wheelbarrows full of money to sign for them.

This was the scenario that unfolded for Martin Jol, with the sales of Carrick and Berbatov, and for Redknapp and AVB regarding Modric and Bale.

Jol's team in particular was plundered and decimated by the further sales of Defoe, Keane, Chimbonda and others under the watchful eye of Juande Ramos.

Ramos stayed for 12 months, lifted a trophy that Martin Jol had earned, then fucked off with his trousers stuffed full of cash and a non disclosure pay off like Graham, Hoddle, Pleat, Santini, Jol and Hughton before him.

There was then the Franco Baldini era. Things changed around this time.

Levy went through what I call his;

'Spread Betting Phase'.

The 80 million Bale ransom was invested in the 'Magnificent 7'

We all now know how this went for Spurs season ticket holders who probably got very carried away ,when this picture was taken, and didn't notice Levy selling Bale a few days later due to all the excitement of 'our ship coming in'.

Sadly; our dreams didn't come true but I suspect Franco Baldini's did when he got the non disclosure deal a little while later. I would also guess that Baldini is loved in the Roma boardroom to this day and can probably drink and dine out for his efforts regarding 'Coco' Lamela in particular.

How they must have laughed.

Levy and ENIC are to football what Malcolm Mclaren and the Sex Pistols were to music.

If Levy and ENIC give Conte the non disclosure deal I'm considering writing a book called;

'The Great Sausage Roll Swindle'

Will any of you help me?

Yep. 4 players. Not sure ENIC can be blamed for any of them. But even if they can be - we don’t “sell all their best players or the best players run their contracts down and leave”, as Kosher Kid Kosher Kid so wrongly stated. In fact, the most recent stick to batter the club with is our inability to cash in on players when they are at their prime. I keep seeing we should’ve got rid of Lloris, Kane and Son in the last couple of years, should’ve sold Dier and Dele at their peaks. But no, we held on to try to succeed. Can’t do right in some eyes.

I’ve noticed a pattern too. It’s a precise pattern as to how you can fold tin foil into an even more snug hat for yourself.

You asked for names so I gave you names. There’s are only 2 main reasons why players usually want to leave a club which are money & trophies. Most top players want to be successful & win trophies & they could see that that wasn’t going to happen at Tottenham.

Since the club sold Kyle Walker to Man City for £45m after falling out with Poch, which player in their prime has left Spurs in the 5 years and gone to a rival?

Years ago under ENIC we were a selling club but I don't think that can be levelled at ENIC in recent years. What I would also say pretty much all the players we sold who were in their prime either wanted to leave on their own account or we just got offered ridiculous money for them which most sane owners would accept at other clubs.

I always find these debates funny, how did we manage to keep Kane if Levy is so interested in letting our best players go.

Bale, Walker, Modric, Eriksen
Every single one of these players was sold or left because of the players request. You can't blame ENIC for selling two world class players to arguably the biggest club in world football. Levy even said to Modric to stay another year and I'll sell you to Real Madrid rather than to Chelsea who wanted him orginally. Eriksen ran his contract down because he wanted a new challenge so not sure that is ENIC fault. Walker fell out with Poch.

I did and you did kindly give me four names. Don’t think my reply disagreed with you. Just pointing out it’s not “all” our players, just a few in a decade.

What happened is that Rose, Toby, Eriksen and now Kane ran their contracts down.

Kane has taken this action because Levy blocked his move to Man City, probably by asking for more than City wanted to pay, and Rose, Toby and Eriksen were probably pissed off when Kane, Dele, Son and Lloris were remunerated disproportionately to their long term deals, which were concluded before the huge injection of TV cash that Kane, Son, Dele and Hugo got rewarded with.

The deals signed before the extra Tv revenue were the ones where Poch was pictured with his arm around all the players as they penned the deal. Every picture looked the same.

Morale has been low ever since and the footballing side has suffered.

I’m aware that they left because they wanted to leave but they could see that they weren’t going to win trophies staying at Spurs. Most top players want to have success in their careers & if they can see that they are at a club who’s ambition doesn’t match there’s, they will move on to bigger clubs where they will win trophies

I get the feeling all the players on big wages are off soon and Levy will try and bring back Poch, or similar, and will play all the young players in an attacking system, while hoping for the best, with a low wage bill.

I hope I'm wrong.

To dare is too dear

Rose was pretty much on the decline, Toby actually signed a new contract when Jose took over, I remember at the time a lot of fans were delighted he re signed, me included. Daniel Levy said on the Amazon programme he was prepared to offer Eriksen what he wanted but he'd already made his mind up.

It wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility that Harry Kane signs a new contract, mainly because I think his chance to leave for another top club at this point in his career isn't really realistic anymore.

Those players that you mention also have had I don't know how many opportunities to win a trophy, why does that have to be the boards fault. I personally believe its a collective failure from the club, board, players and management over the years.
