Voted out.

Recognise all the improvements ENIC have made, although I wince when people frame it as some sort of altruism; ENIC will make billions.

It’s time for them to go. All the energy of the business was directed towards creating the stadium and polishing the asset. Football has always been an incidental for them.

I want owners that recognise the cyclical nature of a team and know when to push for silverware and when, in contrast, to rebuild.

ENIC feels like purgatory.

There's also a lot of Enic out posters who frequently insult the other side.

Each side is as bad as the other and to pretend one side is better than the other is silly.

I never suggested the ENIC out side didn't insult the other side. I don't know why people seem to have interpreted it that way.

I replied to someone saying he'd seen more sanctimonious stuff from the ENIC out side by pointing out how many ENIC in posters had partaken .. of course both sides of the argument can be dicks, people disliking Levy doesn't make them automatically lovely people.

If we have a good transfer window and have a good run until the end of the season about 50% of Levy out will be Levy in.

Wasn't aimed at you mate, although I can see why you'd think that.

Only a general comment.

Genuine question for people who want ENIC to stay, is there anything they can do which will make you say enough is enough ?

Because I genuinely don’t see how anyone can look at the shambles of the last 6 to 7 years and say these lot know what they’re doing and have a clear plan in place which will allow us to compete .

Sure we’re all Tottenham it gets heated because we care. I feel those of us who don’t think Enic are terrible are accused of being satisfied with the current state or ‘happy clappers’ or Enic fans over spurs fans which is ridiculous and should stop.

Equally Enic outers shouldn’t be subject to ‘go support city’ Etc

The I’m a better fan because of my viewpoint stuff should be ended.

I want them to start spending better. I actually think we’ve spent a lot of money but my biggest gripe would be how poorly the money has been spent.

But why will that happen after nearly 25 years of ownership?

I’m genuinely intrigued why people think ENIC will suddenly improve their sporting performance.
Well I think that’s what people like paratici are for. I thought the summer business and last Jan business was good. Lacking a CB (clearly wanted bastoni) and maybe overpaid on Richarlison but I don’t think any player bought was bad or should be looked to be shipped out.

Romero had been very good too.

The issue has been the money spent previously on Ndombele, Lo celso, Rodon, sessegnon, Sanchez, Etc etc

In the last six years, we’ve had a 6th and 7th finish. A 5th, 4th twice and a 3rd. Pretty consistent, but not as good as the years Poch was here.

We’ve also opened the stadium and made other behind the scenes improvements. I think it’s unfair to class the last few years as a “shambles”.

However, to your question. Two things would tip me over the edge.

1. Sacking Conte in the next few seasons. If he leaves, fuck him, but if not be impressed if we sacked yet another manager in a knee jerk fashion.
2. Not backing him over the winter and summer windows. Stadium open, no Covid, strong DoF in place. We should be banging money on other teams tables for quality players.

Fuck this 20 years shite. We’ve never been in a position to compete, but we are in a better position than ever before now. And we need it to happen. Back the manager with cash and a long term contract.

I think the hope was that with Paratici and then Conte being appointed, Levy would take a step back and support their pursuit of a more coherent footballing strategy. And it's not that we haven't spent, as I'm sure many of us (myself included) were actually quite excited about our acquisitions last summer.

However, some of players we've brought in haven't met our expectations, even if it's down to injury and tactics, and this has got to be down to Conte as manager (I'm not ready yet to label Bissouma as a bust). To add to that, the remaining deficiencies in the squad are still so glaring to all of us, and Levy and Paratici in my view, have this January window to show us all some ambition even if players don't come cheap now.

Do you see any clear plan of how we want to operate under paratici though? Because I don’t. I count 3 signings that have genuinely improved our first 11 and 2 of them were just cast offs from his previous club who turned out to be good. Spending 50 mil on royal and Gil for example looks to be more woeful business. We’re singing players like Spence who don’t fit the profile of player the current manager wants. It’s all just a confusing mess, the board don’t know what type of club they want us to be.

There’s no reason why a DoF can’t flourish under different ownership.

I just think that after nearly three decades, ENIC have demonstrated a remorselessly persistent inability to fashion an effective football team.

In complete contrast to the absolutely laser focussed detail of the stadium and facilities, we have no idea who we are as a football team.

No identity.

I remain stunned that people can’t see how we have changed in the past few years. More big signings (fuck awful maybe, but still spending more than ever before) and a reliable DoF in place. We’ve moved on so much in the last few years and will hopefully continue to do so.

Not long ago, it was “Levy, stop fucking about in football matters” so he took on a DoF. “Spend more money” so he did. There’s no “sudden” improvement. It’s been happening for years. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d have recently challenged for the title or got to a CL final. But there’s been no improvement?

The last time we 'challenged' (finished 7 points behind the leaders) for a title was 16/17. Pretty long time ago in the world of football.

We've gone backwards since (got to a CL final but it was more a miraculous run than a great team) so where's the progress? The football has steadily declined and hasn't been watchable since before Pochettino's final season.

We've spent a bit of money but badly. And with no clear indication of a plan. We're staring down another transitional period next season because Conte isn't sticking around if we're being honest. Our dynamic duo up front is 30+, declining and one isn't signing a contract.

Improvement? Not since Poch..
