I fear you may be very disappointed, I cannot see Levy splashing the cash . I feel more likely he will spin it we could not give money to a manager who would not sign a new contract. Levy will then hire a less confrontational project manager, I hope I’m wrong
Ach, what’s life without hope? Levy has had two decades, most of which I’ve had no hope that we’d do anything of substance. I just have the feeling we are on the cusp of something great. Don’t know why, just have that feeling.

If I’m willing to give him the first 15 years of his tenure, I’ll certainly give him another several months now the background is in place, to show what he can do. However, I fully understand if others don’t feel the same way.

Poll in May 2022 showed ENIC IN by a whopping 80/20 split.
2021. ENIC out 76/23
2020 50/50

It’s like the Hokey Cokey

If anything I think this shows not everyone knows what they want (obviously some clearly do know!!). Just that spurs proper fuck with our emotions.
Thanks for posting Bernie.

Interesting that when the poll was posted last May the people now attacking me and claiming I only posted the poll to provoke and cause division, didn't throw the same accusations at the OP that time round.

I suggest the personal abuse is down to the fact they don't like the results of the latest edition

One league cup in 20 odd years is not the behaviour of a big club, or a well run one

No stadium or training ground paid for with bank loans will change that fact
The problem is we are the 6th biggest club in our league. Maybe getting close to Woolwich but we were nowhere near them when Enic took over.

The only clubs that have passed us are City and Chelsea, both due to financial advantages.

It’s really the top 3-4 clubs that hoard all the trophies and the rest are just random.

Go to any league for the last decade or two and view the trophies for clubs outside the top 3 clubs. I used 2009 as a random cutoff as I don’t have unlimited time to look this shit up.

Germany
Bayern
Dortmund

Last team to win league besides these 2 is Wolfsburg in 2009.
In the pokal cup, Schalke, Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, Leipzig each have 1 win since 2009. Rest to Bayern and Dortmund.

Italy
Juventus
Inter
AC
Only these 3 have won the league since Roma in 2001.
Add Napoli (3) and lazio (2) to the Copa Italia winners since 2009 but remove AC Milan.

Spain
Real
Barca
Athletico
Last winner besides these 3 was Valencia in 2003.
Add Sevilla, Valencia, sociedad, and Betis as cup winners since 2009.

France
PSG
Whoever gets lucky when PSG fucks up

This league is a bit different since PSG only started dominating in 2013 and it’s a mediocre league besides that. Since PSG started dominating, Lille and Monaco are the only teams to win 1 league.

Cup winners besides PSG are Bordeaux (2013), guingamp (2014), Rennes (2019) and Nantes 2022). None of these are big clubs… they got a lucky trophy due to only having to compete against 1 big club and luck of the draw.

England is similar but more big clubs so a bit more spread

Chelsea, City, United, Liverpool and Leicester

Obviously Leicester are the odd ones. FA cup is the same clubs but add Woolwich and Wigan from 2013.

Then it’s even harder in England because there are 5 clubs that have been winning trophies.

I don’t think we’ve been anywhere near perfect but the 6th biggest club doesn’t have a divine right to win trophies. We’ve been outperformed by Leicester and maybe Woolwich (definitely if they win the league this year) in trophy count but we’ve had far better CL results over that time.

We just aren’t going to get many trophies because we are a 2nd tier club.

Besides the teams that were listed as league winners… how many have even made a CL final since 2004 when Porto beat Monaco? Just 1, Tottenham.

Aye, all fair points, but Joe owns a yacht and Levy is bald, so fuck the pair of them.

Am I doing this right?

Fantastic post.

Tottenham is not a Jewish club but has Jewish owners and arguably 5% who have some Jewish identity.
Some/many use "Yids" as a form of unity and defense against rivals racial slurs .
Another quarter century of these amateur wide boys will suck any soul out of the club.
Tottenham was founded by the clergy in Northumberland Park hence Hotspurs .

You’re correct of course but we’re perceived rightly or wrongly as a Jewish club and has been for some time hence no way will an oil rich Middle East club touch us

A top 6 team definitely has quite a strong right to have won a trophy in 20 years of football. It's so sad when we've got fans who champion "we've had better results in Europe" as if that equals actually winning something.

I hope opposition fans never get to this forum and read this shit, they'd be having a field day. Other clubs try to forget when they get knocked out in Europe, we celebrate it because we went a bit further.

Like expressions said .. "We're not a football club anymore, we're a leisure centre".

Hollowed out, no identity left, playing some of the shittest football in the league for years and years with the highest ticket prices but it's ok, under Poch (the guy that prick Levy knifed in the back at the first sign of danger because he's a coward) we had a few deep runs in to Europe .. fucking hell.

Nope. I abuse you because I don’t like you as a poster and like the many others who abuse and ignore you, can see you for what you really are. And it’s not a nice view.
Ahh. So you admit you throw abuse at posters you don't like.
That's telling. :disdain:

And you also claim to speak for many others.
Also telling.:disdain:

The best part though, despite your claims and accusations, I actually have a much higher positive rep to post ratio than you

The combined efforts of the Sugar regime and ENIC have caused many to start thinking like this.

I started supporting Spurs in 1977.

When Spurs started winning trophies again, in the early 80's, only Liverpool were bigger than Spurs.

United and Woolwich were a bit of a joke at the time and Everton didn't emerge as title contenders until the mid to late eighties.

These clubs were the 'big five' in those days.

Liverpool were dominant, but there wasn't that much between the other four clubs.

This is how it remained until the inception of the Premier League in 1992 / 93.

Spurs started most seasons, from 80 / 81 - 91 / 92 with the realistic aim of winning a trophy.

I always believed Spurs were in with as good a chance as anyone regarding winning a domestic or European trophy.

The league title not so much.

I only remember three serious challenges for the league in 81 / 82, 84 / 85 and 86 / 87.

I can never think of Spurs as being a 2nd tier club. No matter how misguided that may seem to others.

My Eyes Have Seen The Glory.

ENIC's biggest achievements are the stadium and training facilities and lowering supporter expectation.

They now need to do the right thing. Invest in a team fit to play in the megadome or sell to someone who will.

Just because scott scott follows you around like a wee puppy.

Nevertheless, I’m delighted you took the time to check the ratios and are winning your game. I’d never noticed as I’ve got a life. Still, well done.
