There is no doubting he is a very good manager. So we can either keep doing the manager wheel around trying to find this magical perfect next Poch fit (which was also a lot of luck with recruitment) or we can actually back our proven winner. I think our chance for actual success is better with the latter.

He's been backed a lot more than Poch. Bentancur + Kulusevski in last year's winter window, and if the Porro deal goes through we'll be the third highest spenders IN THE WORLD this season.
We are still suffering from years of gross ineptitude and underfunding so it’s hardly a fair comparison. We also don’t have a youth set up any longer again due to poor leadership, unlike say Chelsea, Liverpool etc which further handicaps the manager
What's not fair about it? Conte finished fourth with this team last year, and now is getting everything he wants, despite stubbornly sticking to a system that's clearly not working, clearly not using either Kane or Son to their fullest potential. CL places is the least we should be expecting.

LLoris should have been gone end of last season or at least have someone else lined up, Dier shouldnt be anywhere near a Top 6 PL team defence, same for Davies even though he has imporved a lot under Conte we should be aiming higher!
Son and Kane are a different story, however it goes to show when Son is having his worst season ever so far we dont have another player to swap him with yet?
People say Poch wasn't backed compared to Conte, but how many times did we break our transfer record getting players in for him, GLC, Ndombele and Sanchez all spring to mind, none of which has been sold!!
People keep on blaming the managers and think Poch is going to be some magical answer and bring back the exciting football even though from the team who downed tools for him 5 are still regular starts for us while we are on the 3rd manager since he left!

Thats the main issue, the squad is not good enough, Poch even said this himself and we would require a painful rebuild, however Levy takes the cheaper option and hopes that a better manager can get something out of the squad.
What about Conte is "the cheap option"? We're spending 200m Euros this season for this guy, while paying him exorbitant amounts of many. The only thing that's cheap is the goals we keep conceding.
