We had people in Italy at exactly the same stage of negotiations with Skriniar.

There were weeks of stories about price and Bastoni ready to work with Conte, the manager that launched his careeer, then suddenly his agent came out and said he wanted to stay in Italy.

You may have noticed the same pattern with Zaniolo. He’s interested, we are interested, club sets price,we want to pay less, player wants to stay in Italy.

They do if the agreement is within certain parameters, that's what he's employed them to do and those will be his instructions.

He'll be paying them a fortune to carry out these negotiations, you don't buy a dog and bark yourself.

And it's not just any old relegation, they've got isane debt, wage to revenue ratios, and a massive new stadium on the way. Chances are Pickford is off too, and several of their players are just gonna leave on a free in a year or two.

Wouldn't be surprised if relegation is followed by administration.

Agreed, I think it 75/25 that the aggregators want clicks so make up stories to post knowing they've got a 24 hour window before the League Cup Final match tomorrow that Porro is playing in.
