Having multiple roles is being versatile, no?

Yes, his current role is mainly LCB - the LWB is a recent thing because of necessity.

It doesn't change the fact that he is actually a LB, and you suggested he was being played out of position. When recent games have arguably been his more natural position.

What is his natural role? What was he bought for? What does versatile mean?

Then tell me again how I am wrong lol

It has nothing to do with opinion.
It is solid fact that for Wales he has been playing in LCB role in back 3 for years.

You can like it, you can hate it.

For Spurs, since Conte took over he has been playing as LCB. For 1 year and 4 months.
Under Conte this has been his main position.

Few games ago he was put on LWB duty which is totally new for him, so less natural position to him.

These are black-and-white facts.

It was like watching the Boro game from last year - rinse and repeat!

The issue is not why didn’t Kane and Romero play, but why in their absence were we unable to beat a lower league side’s second XI? Year after year, season after season this happens. Wonder at what point people will wake up?

Every team rests players in the cups.
Sheffield United with injuries , suspensions and illness were 8 players down . Right now all we have to be proud about is Kane , a Go Karting track , Beyoncé , NFL games , Skywalk , power showers , match day bar turnover and a golf course .
Keith Burkinshaw when leaving in the mid eighties said . “ There used to be a football club over there”
The man has been right for approaching nearly 40 years now

What does marathon help?

It is matter of on-the-ball quality. Our management stuff fucking hates it with passion.
Players delivered what was asked from them. Weird to punish them for it.
last night wasn't a quality issue IHMO. Sure some of those players should be shifted but they are fundamentally good enough to have won that game. The lack of effort, interests and commitment was there for all to be seem.

So my point was, where does this come from?

It's likely the top with the targets set at the start of the season, if it's not it's the players and manger not taking it seriously. If that's the case, then like Man U, the threat of extra work, or punishment is sometimes a motivation. For us fans there is no excuse, for the players, the just didn't look like they needed it.

The sad thing is that I am numb to it. In days gone by I would be properly pissed off and miserable after a game like that. Now, 5 mins after the game I am already in 'whatever' mode.

Mourinho, Nuno and Conte, under the patronage of Levy, have totally killed the passion.

Football is supposed to be fun, not an expensive chore.
it's a damming indictment, I was the same, switched it off with 1min to go, joined the wife in the lounge to watch something else, simply said we were shit and moved on.

I'm sick of evenings and weekends being ruined, it's not the losing that does it, but the way it is done.

If the players could for one small moment think about what it takes for an individual fan to be able to get to a midweek match up north, and then multiply by 6,000, then maybe they could appreciate the absolutely mammoth effort from our support.

For me, it’s the time and cost. My work week is buggered. My family week is buggered. The time and money on the travel. The fact you have to be a regular STH spending £1,000s on tickets and travel to even be in with a chance of a ticket. It truly is an insane effort.

All in the name of glory.

:contefacepalm:
