Conte is right. Saying these things can only end with his sacking but he is right. Especially when he talks about the Sheffield game, that was pure selfishness from the players. Players who wanted to score more than they wanted to win the game.
Of course Conte is the first person responsible because it’s his job to forge the mindset of the players and he hasn’t been able to do it, but no manager could. Poch couldn’t, Mourinho couldn’t, Conte couldn’t.
As a team we are not serious about the sport and it all flows from the chairman. He is happy to finish 4th and win nothing. If he doesn’t care about winning, is it a surprise that it rubs off on the players? The players get paid whether we win or not. Losing doesn’t hurt them the way that it hurts a serious team, this is something both Mourinho and Conte have said in the past. To lose in the FA Cup to a lower side is normal. It’s accepted. So we are where we are.

It’s so frustrating
Most people who have avoided criticising Conte aren’t doing it because they like what they see.
It’s because we know we’ll be in exactly the same place in 12-24 months with whatever new manager they bring in.
