When you’ve been in the job for 18 months, spent 250m on 11 players (almost all of whom you chose), saying “I don’t see a team, I see 11 selfish players” is actually a criticism of yourself as manager.
I think he probably is criticising himself and his approach. But that’s clearly not the only issue. Levy could do with a dose of self reflection too, deluded little maggot

Eric Dier and Ben Davies are two of your starting CBs, he's got a right to be pissed, though obvously he's also to blame.

More specific?

He’s just said our players are unprofessional, take the money, look for excuses and can’t handle pressure.

And he explicitly references the owner that hasn’t won anything in 20 years.

What more can he do?

I literally explained this in that post.....

What have the owners done over the last 2 seasons to prevent him doing his job ?

I am enjoying this but if Conte has been thinking/feeling this way about the players for months then it really makes no sense that he has not rotated more.

I am sure he can find plenty of heart and spirit from the academy.

I'm more interested in the truth than mud.

If all this boils down to is "Wah, I wanted more money" then I shall be fairly non-plussed.

It won't. It may absolutely come down to individual examples of us deciding to save a bit of cash rather than go the extra mile for a player, but mostly I think it will be about the culture/attitude set at Spurs, which many of us have seen is clearly not right for a long time. Far too much mediocrity at the club which has been allowed to stay & fester for years.

It's time to get ready for some home truths which cut through the "we are ambitious" propaganda the club spew out.

He’s said that he takes his own share of responsibility but ultimately it comes down to the culture of the club. That flows from the chairman. The chairman isn’t interested in winning. Winning is not his priority.

Say whatever you want about Conte’s cautious, stodgy football, but he is a winner. Levy is a loser. One knows what it really takes to win the biggest trophies and one thinks that just hiring a winning manager and giving them Lenglet will get the job done. That is not how football works.
Conte hasn’t won many of the biggest trophies. You should look up his record in the European Cup.

We have plenty of problems as a club and Levy is central to all that.

The insipid performances we have put in week in week out since preseason, after very significant investment in both winter windows and this summer, are all down to Conte. He can say whatever he wants but he’s done a terrible job all season. It’s the same mistakes every week and the approach is dismal. That’s on the manager.

What’s the point then?

Honestly, why should we bother supporting a team and club who don’t want to win and are in it for a jolly.

Agree.

It's laughable the club want us to believe we are serious about competing for things when Dier/Davies/Sanchez are still here.

Let's put this a different way, what about our performances on the pitch this season warrant Conte staying?
Nothing. He should have been sacked months ago, long before our season collapsed. Only one person to blame for that, the one that time and again makes horendous calls about managerial apointments and sackings. The bloke is a fucking clown shoe and should do the honourable thing even if ENIC dont sell.

Agree, and I think he will admit he’s got it wrong (in private). Root cause is Levy

Fully agree.

Look at Richie. Regardless of his form, he exemplifies the team first attitude. Runs his bollocks off. Pressed and fights for everything.

Wiggle stuck him on the bench and mocked him for the press.

Not to mention our only good/consistent run of form early in the season came mostly from excellent set pieces, which he has nothing to do with. Even when we were winning a lot of matches with set piece goals, we still looked rubbish in open play.

I was fully on board after last season but Conte has utterly failed this year.
