What is it with this "oooh he's ex-Chelsea" bollocks? He's not a girl who slept with a guy you hate. He just worked there ffs.
It's that Chelsea is a competing big English club, so when people fail there, especially as badly as Potter did, there's naturally a suspicion that the same issues will crop up here.

Chelsea is also well known under previous and current ownership to blindly grasp at any shiny object, so our managerial lists constantly being a rundown of managers they've already burned through is telling.

Those are valid arguments, but I doubt most posters say "fuck him, he's ex-Chelsea" with them in mind.

Direct football. We can not play possession based football with our bunch of midfielders (maybe Bentancur aside). I doubt even Bissouma would be able to play that style.
Luis has no problem setting up a direct style of football tbf. That's what he did at Barcelona when Xavi and Iniesta started getting old. He even caught some flack for it.

His Spain team focused on possession because they lacked a clear goal scorer.

Like Conte attracted all the Italian talents?

Family Feud Lol GIF by Steve Harvey

Needs to be a stipulation in his contract.

You get contract, we get Gavi on a Free...

Deal?

This fanbase also talks about Poch like he’s their fucking dad.

They also don’t want someone like Kompany either. Not because they have doubts about him, but because they’re scared that he’ll be so good with us that man city will take him.

I said way back when first linked that I wouldn't be upset by Enrique.

He probably wouldn't last long before he's broken by spurs but he would I believe reverse the cowardly defensive mindset that's been deeply engraved into the squad since Jose.

He'd also look to recruit more technical players, less brutes. It would be a foundation I think

I’d rather him than the FIFA & FM players‘ favourite Slot. I think he’s too big a risk. Enrique is a risk too of course but one I’d rather take out the two. Not that I want either. Poch or Nagelsmann is the winner but we probably won’t go for either of those two.

I'd rather have Potter than Luis Enrique. The only negative (in my opinion) of Potter is that he's ex-Chelsea.

I love Luis Enrique as a person/manager, I just think this squad is so not suited to him. And I'm not talking about the defence, because that's not suited to anyone. I'm talking about the technical abilities of the midfield and the pressing abilities of the forwards (Richarlison and Kulusevski aside). If he comes here, I'll support him obviously, I'm just too pessimistic about the squad.
But there would be changes if he came in. Luis Enrique wouldn’t have skipp and Hojbjerg when he likes his team to pass quickly and pass forward.

This club is going nowhere until the people up top who are clueless about football are gone. People want the job for the money or have nothing to loose. You can tell how bad it was before with the nuno appointment.

Sounds like the chavs are going for Nagelsmann. But why would he want to join that mess?

Because they have one of the most exciting squads in Europe and an owner with a fat wallet
