They are somehow making us look like we aren't the biggest shambles in football and fans would still like to believe they are better off.

Self-pity is addictive.

and fuck Levy.

Nothing to do with self pity.

If Poch can turn some of our players into the best players in their positions at the time then what is stopping him at Chelsea.

They have a lot of talented players that need direction and coaching and a buy in, Poch certainly knows what he doing in that regard. He turned Dele Alli into a YPOTY of the year twice ffs.

Also expect full backs James, Chilwell, Cucurella and Lewis Hall to go up levels.

People constantly do this - write off players because they aren't playing under any cohesion or a strategy and they lack direction because they dont have a coach that will nurture them it's the same with our players this season which is why I've been so hesitant to round up on them.

Daniel Levy lacks courage, class and respect for Tottenham’s fans

Henry Winter is going completely in on Levy here, absolutely brutal tbh.

Fully deserved.
"The Glazers were keen to leap aboard the European Super League gravy train because money is their engine. Levy would have known the damage that the ESL would wreak on the English pyramid yet still allowed his beloved club to leap into the arms of this monster. Shame on him."

"But Paul Barber, Christian Purslow and Darren Eales all have strong backgrounds in business and are eminent, front-foot representatives of their clubs (Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa and Newcastle United respectively) and are as good at mixing with fans as Levy is scared."

I'm Henry Winter #itk

There was an interesting article the other day - I forget which one - that said that Conte was so rigid that he’d altered players’ ability to think for themselves. They’re now like folk emerging from a cave into daylight.

I don’t think that’s entirely true, or that the players escape culpability for their often miserable part in a dour season. But there’s no doubt in my mind that some, like Sonny or our midfield pairs vs an oppo army, have not had an easy time of it.

The problem is that it’s all been such a mess of faults on all sides it’s like untangling a huge nest of wires trying to work out who’s to blame where. But they all undoubtedly have their part to play in the cockup.

Poch will definitely get something from that Chelsea squad and that is going to be painful to watch.

I think what's worse is that since Conte has gone our players don't have a clue in buildup, he used to stand on the sidelines and tell the players where to pass the ball.

Theoretically it was a smart idea to focus on our infrastructure. The new stadium gave us the chance to compete financially and attract the calibre of players we needed. However Levy's biggest sin has been the inability to focus on literally everything else, for so many years and we are now left with a shell of a club.

I've woken up so angry today. Had a late night text from a completely non football friend saying she knew I was a Spurs fan and did I need a hug? Somehow it stung more than all the abuse from gooners.

Then this morning I get a round of 'guess their age' on talksport, starring birthday boy Deki. A player I have adored and is now a shadow of himself from last season. Followed by their breakfast show presenters barely able to contain their glee at our managerial misfortunes. Followed by the Poch to Chelsea news. (Can't even use the classic Poch hug smiley now without that hurting.)

Too much toxicity at the club. To turn this around we need new leadership at the top now.

Daniel Levy: "ultimately the responsibility is mine." What he forgot to say is "but I'm not resigning I'll just sack another manager because I'm a coward who never takes responsibility."

#Levy out
# Levy apologists out

I’m pretty sure he was just advised to say it by his PR company.

“Read the room Danny. Put the personal touch on it. Make yourself one of them.”

He was provably desperate to hashtag it #OneOfOurOwn

I’m all for sticking it to levy and whilst parts of the article are fair he completely absolves the rest of the board of blame in his usual sanctimonious way, when in fact they need to carry it as the nodding dogs to levy that they are sat there in their cushy roles hiding behind the chairman of any blame.

I think it’s an unnecessarily nasty article in parts, which has actually left me wondering the real reason behind it. Winter has always had it in for us, rarely praising the club and I’m fairly certain he’s a gooner. Rather than using that article to rely the many errors levy had made, I actually think he’s written it to cause more mayhem and create more division within the fanbase.

So whilst enjoying him go in on levy, I would bare in ind that he and people like Matt Law do have ulterior motives for writing these pieces with keeping the club negative and beaten down being one of them.

I completely disagree. Levy / ENIC have had an incredibly easy ride from the press / ,media for years. This myth that they've all got it in for Tottenham is just that. A myth
.What other owners of such a big club with such a 20 year record of failure would have got away with it for so long?.
The more the media home in on the disgusting culture of failure and disdain towards our fanbase the sooner this rot will be eradicated.

Yes they have had an easy ride, but you've got to admit some journalists seem to be enjoying our current/most recent problems a little too much and this comes across like that.

Do you not think he gives the other board members a weirdly free pass? They must be partly to blame, taking their money and using Levy like a deflector shield for all the mistakes they have let happen. How many of them do you think have said to him, "wait a minute, that's not right" or "you're doing it wrong"? I bet those that have are no longer at the club. Whilst Levy needs to go, that is undeniable, the fact Winter gives the rest of the shower of shit a free pass and gushingly praises them is beyond weird.
