Regarding the Kökçü talk - seems he'd bring midfield creativity, a mean free kick, is only 22, and would immediately place someone unwaveringly loyal to Slot into the dressing room.

That's a no brainer. Would help solve a few of our current issues.

Exactly what we need. Creative, 2 feet, runs for days. Set pieces. Feyenoord captain as well so leadership.

Funny how many people think he’s similar to Maddison, he’s not. As technical as Maddison but much more 8 than 10

Kökçü and Maddison in, Hojbjerg out (and the latter apparently might be a thing) and we're making strides.

I'll be one of the very few not that sure about spending 40-50m on Maddison.
He plays in one of the front 3 more these days. Was 2nd striker, true 10 when he came on against Newcastle.

I'd prefer we found someone with more pace to spend that much on in the front 3. Maddison and Barnes always torch us tho, so i get it.

Kokcu, Scott would be my first signings in CM.

If Maddison does come then fair enough but given budget constraints, I'm hoping we have money for top class CBs.

You're not alone.... Unless we intend on playing him in a trad CAM role then I'm not interested. Even if we are; his ability to stay fit concerns me.

I've been saying for months the side needs pace out wide. And real creativity through the middle. Szoboszlai Kudus.

Fair enough. To be fair I'd rather Szoboszlai but we'll have missed the boat on that one. Thinking about it, I agree that Alex Scott would be a wiser signing (Spurs lad, too). Would allow Kokcu to be the 'default' starter with the younger Scott pushing to get into the team.

In true ITK tradition, no full stops or commas are used and (some) names without capital letters
I doubt that Ndicka will join Spurs to be an understudy.

What Lies Beneath from SC (22.5.23)
Good chance Laporte will join this summer been talking with his camp for months also could be followed by Evan ndicka on a free once the manager has been sorted in the coming weeks.

If ndicka joins lenglet won’t be staying as it’s seen him being the understudy to Laporte/marquee cb

No Laporte or a marquee is what I meant he’s one of the top targets needs to be signed off by the new manager tho but this is being discussed with the leading candidate.

Problem with taking Laporte from City is it opens the perfect squad place for Gvardiol.

I guess somebody will take Laporte off them regardless. If Slot is into it thennfairn enough.

How is his pace and 1v1 defending? never really paid attention. Just wondering why Pep is picking Ake instead.

Will be a 70-80m transfer. Newcastle sniffing... Just never going to be a Spurs transfer. Class player though.

One of those players where it feels like he would have made sense to go in for a year or two years ago rather than snooze on. Ultimately though, we'll just have to turn our attention elsewhere because to succeed we're going to have to be snapping up the cheaper ones with potential.
