Nah, surely even Kane can see that the closest we came to a big trophy was under Poch, not the “elite” managers.

If Ange comes in with a clear, modern idea of football and good energy then I think the players will be fine with it. I’m sure they will be glad to have someone who isn’t a miserable cunt.

It’s so clear that when it comes to both players and managers, big names, big CVs and big fees do not combine well with Tottenham. We need humble people who are hungry for a chance. Look at what De Zerbi did this season. A year ago everyone on here would have sneered at a nobody like him being mooted as our manager but what now? He is beyond our reach as Brighton vastly outperformed us this season. The principles and personality of the coach are more important than their CV in our situation.

De Zerbi is overrated & will fall off next season. Watch this space. Terrible example as he walked in to a cosy ass environment with low expectations.

I despise this idea that because two dinosaur big name coaches failed, we should now pursue nobodies. At least Poch was proven in the top divisions.

Crocodile Dundee is a nobody from nowheresville - a total shot in the dark. Let’s hope he can earn these players respect quickly.

I will say, it’s always a good sign when the fans left behind are terrified of him leaving.

Mate, that’s because they’re scared Neil Lennon is going to come back. It’s Celtic.

I bet they were gutted/furious when Rodger’s went too after he broke the points record, went invincible & won trebles.

Also my god this lot are deluded. They actually think he would turn us down. What planet do Scottish football fans live on?

Brendan left them to go to fucking LEICESTER CITY.

Levy can hire whoever the fuck he wants. I’m tired of caring. Barring it being Nagelsman, any other appointment will be underwhelming. He’s trying to find the next Poch when Poch was there for the taking. It’s extremely infuriating.

Well if Ange gets the job no matter how underwhelming it may seem we have to give him a chance .I doubt there will be wholesale changes to the squad just another guy in to try and get a tune out of the current one .It costs a lot less to pay off the manager than it does to actually show a bit of ambition and put together a squad to actually win something .No doubt the manager will be told there are funds available but as usual the small print will mention the funds can come from sales of our players that have feck all appeal to anyone right in the head .

6 games.
We were 3rd then
No, for the umpteenth time Matt1882 .

Tail end of last season they got 17 pts from 8 matches.

Wins at Goons, Us, Wolves.

4-0 v United; 3-1 Spam.

Last one they lost, v Citeh.

Combine that with their form before Potter left, that's top 4 over 38 matches, no question.

Scoring for fun too.

I get that you don't rate Potter but you don't need to fiddle the stats to bolster your case.

14 matches is easily enough to identify a sustainable trend. 10 matches is the usual yardstick, hence the saying "Every manager is only 10 matches from the sack"
