Why not?

Woolwich had a decent run at the title this year. Is their squad better than ours? Without the benefit of hindsight, who looks better?

Kane or Jesus
Son or Saka
Kulusevski or Odegard
Bissouma or Party
Romero or Saliba
Porro or Martinelli
Royal or White
Holjberg or Jorginio
Skipp or Smith rowe
Bentencaur or Xacka
Davies or Tierny
Lloris or Ramsdale
Dier or Gabriel
Richarlison or Nkedia
Danjuma or Trossard
You said, “Without the benefit of hindsight?” How can you compare players without “hindsight”? By foresight?? I personally am not clairvoyant so I have to use the past performances to compare the players.

Woolwich’s had Arteta as their head-coach since 2019, so thus they have a a settled team & squad and established their style of football….while, so far, Spurs have neither a DoF nor a head-coach nor any clear direction nor a set football style.

Kane or Jesus – If Kane’s not staying then no need to compare the two
Son or Saka – no doubt Saka.
Kulusevski or Ødegard – Kulu is a RWF while Ødegaard is a CAM. But Ødegaard was far better than Kulu this season.
Bissouma or Party – Bissouma, based on his last 2 games
Romero or Saliba – Saliba was better this season.
Porro or Martinelli - Porri is a RB/RWB and Martinelli is a WLF. Yes, Porro could play as a WLF but so far he hasn’t. You may as well compare White with Son then.
Royal or White –White
Holjberg or Jorginio – one (Jorginho) hardly played while the other (Højbjerg – NOT Holbjerg)) played a lot but neither contributed much.
Skipp or Smith rowe – Why do compare players in so different positions again?
Bentencaur or Xacka – Bentancur this season, until he got injured.
Davies or Tierny – Davies is better simply because he’s not been injured
Lloris or Ramsdale – Lloris will be leaving anyway.
Dier or Gabriel – Do you still wanna keep Dier as a starter?
Richarlison or Nkedia – based on this season, neither.
Danjuma or Trossard – Danjuma is no longer a Spurs player

If you had done a comparison with Newcastleæs, Brighton's and Villa's players (compared to the Spurs players), you would have had Spurs finishing above all of them

I will say, it’s always a good sign when the fans left behind are terrified of him leaving.

They are choosing Ange because he will accept club signings.

otherwise they'd do LN or LE
Seriously, you could not be more wrong.

I doubt whether Ange will leave Celtic just yet but if he did come to Spurs it would be on very strict condition that he has total control of the football department. It's the only way he does business.

The Celtic fans thought exactly the same thing when he was appointed... no name, cut price, yesman who'll do as he's told because he'll never get a better job.

How wrong they were, and how devastated they'll be if they lose one of their greatest ever managers - certainly one of their most loved.

‘Had a gander on their forum that’s enough to make you wanna turn it down in all honesty I mean when we were first linked half of us didn’t know ange but we all did our due diligence and reserved our judgment those * are writing him off right away to the point we’re it’s totally disgusting English football fans don’t have a * clue’

Couldn’t be talking about us I’m sure…

I’m not against Posty.

Just guessing the way Levy thinks.

Be funny if you are right and Day 1 on the job he tells Levy and Munn to fuck off with their club targets

So basically we're the same as them, not impressed at his appointment.

Yes he has won the league a couple of times with little old Celtic BUT this is the Big Boys league where your main competitors aren't Aberdeen or Kilmarnock!

Maybe we'll be saying the same thing in a couple of years about Ange after he's poached by Bayern or Real Madrid.

Levy has wanted the same thing since the early 00's. To model the club after the then-dominant Lyon setup under his man-crush Jean Michel Aulas.

A stable, permanent recruitment department that out-smarts the transfer market and then an interchangeable head coach held accountable for getting results out of those players.

Among other implementation problems with that, Jean Michel Aulas was just forced out as President of Lyon after the sale of a majority stake in the club to American investors, a dinosaur relic of a bygone age.

One can only hope....
