De Zerbi is overrated & will fall off next season. Watch this space. Terrible example as he walked in to a cosy ass environment with low expectations.

I despise this idea that because two dinosaur big name coaches failed, we should now pursue nobodies. At least Poch was proven in the top divisions.

Crocodile Dundee is a nobody from nowheresville - a total shot in the dark. Let’s hope he can earn these players respect quickly.

How would we know of Posty is a good enough coach for the Prem if he’s never had a chance?

He’s from Australia, how else does he get a chance?

And look at the hype around De Zerbi, we can’t poach from the Prem anymore, players or coaches.

As soon as a player or coach excels in the Prem, they go to oil money or sky legacy clubs.

Genuine question for those banging the Gallardo drum...

Have you seen loads of River Plate, is it more based on hearsay or is it simply because he's Argentinian?

Does his supposed lack of English concern you?

We don’t. I’m not saying he WILL flop (we could hire Big Sam and nobody could say for SURE) but I’m saying he’s a huge risk & a completely unproven entity. The club know this as well.

This is a roll of the dice because of desperation. I’m not gonna praise it. If/when he’s Spurs coach I’ll back him but until then, I’ll call the appointment out for what it is.

People who are disregarding Ange on the basis of his success coming at a dominant club in a poor standard league, yet simultaneously advocating for Gallardo are being absolutely absurd, even by the standards of this board.

I think its safe to say that almost all of this thread is based on hearsay.

Have the people who are crying out for Nageslmann seen loads of Bayern Munich? I doubt it. People are bitching about Postecoglou. Can they really spot the differences in the style of play between his celtic team and Rodgers? Probably not.

Yeah because I can see us doing it. I’ve paid thousands in season tickets costs to most likely watch another pointless season if this bloke comes in.

Oh grow up.

Whoever comes in deserves to be backed by the fans (coz they damn sure ain’t gonna be backed by Levy).

Fuck your attitude towards Ange tbh and anyone else who feels the same.

Get your heads out of your arses. No matter who we appoint, it’s a risk.

It’s a roll of the dice, that’s for sure.

If they do it that is. I’d still be a bit shocked if they do.

Gerrard was sacked after game week 12 with Villa in 15th
Emery ultimately finished 7th - so he actually did come in and get them closer to City.

I'd go as far as to say Emery would be a safer bet right now. 53 points from 26 games. 2.4 ppg is 91 points - title winners this season and 21 seasons overall.
THAT is impressive. Is the Villa squad that good? Not really, but he has them winning a lot.
Not only is your math wrong (53/26 = 2.03 and not 2.4), but you have the wrong source data to begin with. Emery managed Villa for 25 games in the league and collected 49 points, or 1.96 ppg. So about 74 pts if you pro-rate it for a 38-game season.

Still not bad, but please use factual data next time.

Amazing, he yells at the players.

I'm sure Conte never did something so innovative when he was here. People were doing the exact same thing with Kompany when we were linked with him.

I didn’t say it was good or bad. I put LOL. He was kicking off and it made me smile.

For me personally, the access they had to make that content was legit. That’s not cheesy speeches for the cameras, they had cameras on full time.

From what I heard in the 5mins, that is the type of coach that competitors fucking love. He’s positive and has their back but he’s also not to be fucked with and calling out the group not picking on people.

It’s a guess from a 5 min video but my guess is that’s a good coach .

Ange in.

Ladies, does he get the stamp of approval?

Rob Edwards at Luton gets my stamp of approval…

My reply was for the twitter user saying he wants Ange just because of that lol.

The man is likely to lose his two best ‘ballers this off-season. It’s fairly likely they’ll be a drop-off given the extra European games on top of this.

True although Brighton’s recruitment is second to none. They are the example of the perfect run club, it’s why I don’t trust players or managers coming from there as much, not saying they ain’t good but the Brighton set up seems to maximise potential.

Said it ages ago in here, but not sure why Haise wouldn’t be under consideration or on a « list » at least. Got a middle budget Lens to within a few points of PSG in second, playing a very aggressive brand of football.

If Postacoglu is worthy of the list (and I’m not saying he shouldn’t be - i know fuck all about him really, haven’t watched Celtic once), what Haise has done at Lens is far more impressive IMO. Only difference is experience. Haise is in his first proper senior job.

Plays a back 3 often.
