I can't remember the venue, but there were plenty waxing lyrical about Winks after that game, he'd built up to that, and many were thinking he'd develop into a top quality midfielder. As it turned out, that has remained hie peak with us. He was daring and progressive when he got his first starts with us, culminating in that game. Thereafter, he was a shadow of that.
I'm not remotely suggesting that Ange will get that out of him, I'd just be interested to see if he can. He's worked with worse and made them better.
